I smoked it twice. First, I mixed the meat into meatballs, then smoked them. When they were ready, I crushed them up into the tomato sauce. Then, layered the lasagna. Then, use the BBQ as an oven to smoke it while you cook it.
If you like BBQ ribs and you like smoked cheese. Then smoked lasagna is for you. If you find smoked cheese too smoky, then only smoke the meat and cook the lasagna in a regular oven.
I love smoked everything. That all sounds amazing. It's breakfast time here but I'm salivating for smoked lasagne!
It's super easy as long as your smoker can hold a constant temperature.
Alas, to my shame, I don't have a smoker!

Because you are always below 454°F, you can smoke in anything.

Holy shit, that is both awesome and a fucking challenge. Also a bit of a fucking effort. I had never thought o be able to use any old thing to smoke though. Food for thought! :OD
The easiest is a cooler.
