Introduction

In the world of artificial intelligence and how it is really moving so fast and we continue to see more use case of artificial intelligence spreading with lot of use applied in every aspect of life. But come to think of it, artificial intelligence also comes with its own challenges which I strongly believe needs to be looked into. We have examples like the aspect data privacy and the security issues. These are the two major challenges that have been associated to the world of artificial intelligence.

Even though the traditional type of artificial intelligence that we have always been known with have grown and developed rapidly, I still believe strongly that there is still room for lot of things to be worked upon. Most of the time, the traditional AI that we are used to come with their own challenges and one of it is the fact that it is largely controlled by centralised authority. But well we have a new developments called the Federated learning and the Blockchain technology which I will like to talk about today.

Federated Learning: A Decentralized Approach to AI Training

Before going deeper to today explanation, let me actually explain what Federated Learning is. It a system that runs making use of AL to have a training system whereby multiple devices makes use of the training system whereby eliminating a central server. It works in a way whereby every of the connection of the network is connected to a particular nodes instead of a central server.

This federal learning I am talking about is actually a Decentralised approach but even with it been a Decentralisation approach, it also helps to address deep issues I make mention of. First it addressed the data privacy because the data are keeps on each user devices that is connected to the nodes. So every user have ownership or access to their data instead of it been controlled by a central server. There are a whole lot of industries that make use of this Federal Learning. Examples like the Health sector, finances sector and many more.

Blockchain Technology: Ensuring Trust and Transparency

One of the things that Blocked Technology have always stand for in recent years is the ability to ensure trust and massive Transat to people. And even with that, it keeps getting better and better day by day. When it comes to Blockchain technology, it comes with massive Transparency and the fact that every transactions recorded on the Blockchain technology is Immutable. Immutable in the sense that it can not be changed or altered.

Not only that, Blockchain technology comes with this Decentralisation nature whereby there is no any centraised authority in control of. It helps to make sure that trust is achieved among the participants. This also at the later end helps to achieve data integrity, accountability, and many more. With all these features that Blockchain technology has, it helps to bring it also to the Federal Learning whereby a lot of challenges that the traditional artificial intelligence always faces is eliminated.

The Synergy Between Federated Learning and Blockchain

When it comes to Federal Learning and Blockchain Technology, there is a synergy that exist between them. The combination of both of them offers a lot of benefits when it comes to AI training. The first is the fact that it will help to enhance security and privacy which are the two major issues to always be addressed when it comes to dealing with Data.

Not only that, it helps to bring this Decentralised nature that have been missing in the artificial intelligence system. The artificial intelligence system have been operating on centralised server making it been runned or controlled by centralised authority but not when Blockchain technology is been introduced. It helps to offer this Decentralised nature making use of smart contracts and this helps to ensure that fairness and transparency is been achieved in the system.

Lastly, I will also like to talk about the aspect of Tamper Proof Audit Trails. The fact that Blockchain offers this accountability and Immutability nature. It makes it difficult for any transactions to be altered for any fraudulent activities after they have been recorded. This also makes it accountable to the server and Which goes a long way to achieve trust among the participants beyond what one can ever imagine of.

Conclusion

As I conclude, if you will ask me, I will definitely say I am really optimistic about the future that Federal Learning has most especially when it is actually integrated with AI training. The future is definitely bright and we are just actually starting.
