Mini Adventure - Cooking and Grilling Fish on the Shores of Lake Lut Tawar

This time I will share my mini adventure experience, which is cooking and grilling fish on the shores of Lake Lut Tawar. Yes, Lake Lut Tawar who else is not familiar with this title, the majority of people are already familiar with this tourist spot. Moreover, Acehnese people from various circles, the location of this place is in the Tanoh Gayo Takengon Highlands, Central Aceh, Aceh, Indonesia.
Like the name of the place, Lake Lut Tawar, the water in this lake tastes fresh or bland, in contrast to seawater in general, which is salty. This tour is often used for various events, both camping, traveling with family and friends by the lake, also suitable for use as a gathering place with friends and beloved family.
As we did, my friends and I had a meeting on this beach and we had planned from the start to have a cook and grill fish at a lakeside location.
The interesting thing and makes time more effective, we don't have to bother buying fish in the market but we buy fish directly from the hands of the fishermen there. The price of the fish is much cheaper because it is direct from the first hand. The type of fish we bought was Mujahir Fish, and we bought it 1 Kg for IDR 20K/Kg. When compared to the selling price in the market with a range of IDR 30K-40K/Kg, of course this is much cheaper.
For the location that we took as a place to cook and burn fish, it was a bit difficult to access because it was far from the highway and indeed it was not a place for tourists but a place to relax for local residents. The scenery in this place is much more beautiful that I have ever encountered around the edge of the lake, the atmosphere is cold because the lake breeze is accompanied by small waves and trees that make it cooler and cooler.
For seasonings, we buy ready-made spices at the market so that when we get there we immediately process the fish. Oh yes, besides fish, we also bring beef for satay, also pineapple for dessert.
Mujahir fish that have been cleaned, then we divide in two. Some are grilled and some are in curry. Fish curry if in Gayo language is called "Masam Jeng" which means spicy sour, is a typical Gayo dish made with spices with a distinctive spicy and sour taste then we cook it on a fire that we have made from dry wood that is around. While waiting for the sour jeng fish to be cooked, we processed the grilled fish which we stabbed into the wood around the place, then grilled it next to the fire that was cooking the fish.
After processing the fish, we finally burned the satay that we had marinated with spices. Because we lack tools, so the satay that we make is very simple and straightforward, because there is no skewer for the satay, we took the initiative to find wood and split it then tuck the meat into it and then tie the ends with a rope as is.
Very delicious, feel the beautiful natural beauty and enjoy Gayo cuisine. I'm very happy and want to come back to this place again next time.

Oh my My!!! It's looking incredible to have a grill picnic in front a beautiful lake like the one of article and then preparing such amazing and delicious fish with interesting flavors of those spices.
