Hello fellow travellers, I want to share with you this new experience that I had for the first time but I also took some time to read some of your wonderful posts that you put in this community.

A few months ago I wanted to book a cruise because I have always been fascinated by sailing at sea but since the price was not very affordable I decided, together with a friend of mine, to take a boat trip that sails through an important river in the province of Treviso: the SILE.

You have to know that this river in history has been important for the Venetian people because goods coming from Venice used to pass through here on their way to Treviso.

In fact it's not so many years and that we do this kind of tourism but in my opinion it's very nice because it gives you the chance to see things from another point of view.

We left practically at 09:30 from the town of quarto d'altino in the province of Treviso and the excursion included lunch on board.

During the excursion I was able to see beautiful villas that practically had their moorings on the river Sile, because the numerous Venetian families used to come here across the river from Venice, because practically, as the guide explained to me, these were all summer residences that these families used to escape from Venice because they were dying from the heat, but above all because at certain times there were plagues.

It was a very nice trip, there weren't so many people because it was so hot anyway, but eventually we arrived at Casier, which is about 15 km from Treviso.

From there we took a bus into the city of Treviso and then I took the train home.

In the end I have to say that it was an excellent experience that I would recommend to anyone, although I have to say that the price from my point of view was a bit expensive. In the end I paid €60 between the boat and the bus, with lunch practically included.

It's quite nice to have a good alternative to make a trip without spending too much. Here the relationship with friend was the key. Photographies are simply humongous 😃
