Masjid Babul Falah Kampung Bukit Tempurung

Babul Falah Mosque located in Kampung Bukit Tempurung has a deep meaning for me during my stay in Kuala Simpang. Every time I am here, I always take the time to carry out various worship activities. This time, I came to attend tarawih prayers in congregation.

The mosque is located in the city center, in the middle of the crowd, so the courtyard is quite limited. From the outside, the building looks simple and not too big, unlike the mosques in Lhokseumawe, where I live, which are generally more spacious and magnificent.

From the front, we can see two small minarets on top of the mosque and a small dome. Unfortunately, the mosque's courtyard is often filled with carelessly parked vehicles. Currently, the mosque does not have a parking attendant, even though the presence of an attendant is very important to keep the congregation's vehicles safe and regulate parking so as not to interfere with nearby traffic.

Due to the narrow courtyard, many cars are forced to park on the side of the road, making the streets even narrower. Given the mosque's strategic location in the city center, this can disrupt the activities of passing motorists. I hope that in the future the mosque can provide parking attendants to solve this problem.

Afterwards, I headed to the ablution area to perform the Isha and Tarawih prayers. Unfortunately, the lighting in the ablution area was inadequate, so I was unable to take documentation. Hopefully, the mosque management will replace the dead lights soon for better conditions in the future.

Although it looks simple from the outside, the interior of the mosque is quite attractive and equipped with various facilities. The mosque has three doors: one on the right side, one on the left side, the door is made of glass with the words "Lailahaillallah Muhammadar Rasulullah". The back door is reserved for the women's safari.

As I entered the mosque, I saw many worshippers preparing to perform the tarawih prayer. At the front, there is a large calligraphy of Qur'anic verses, while the entire wall of the mosque is covered in gray ceramic tiles. Overall, the mosque has a consistent feel of white and gray.

From a distance, a beautifully carved wooden pulpit can be seen, resembling a hut. Above the dome, there is a mini decorative lamp and a simple blue and white calligraphic inscription, in keeping with the modest size of the dome.

The entire mosque is equipped with nine air-conditioning units, so that worshipers feel comfortable and not overheated. In addition, there are several fans that help spread cool air throughout the room.

Inside the mosque, clean and fragrant green carpets add to the comfort. This shows the dedication of the mosque management in creating a pleasant atmosphere for the worshippers.

Outside the mosque, there is a small library that provides books on Islamic studies and the Qur'an, as well as interesting short story books for children. These books can be read by anyone without the need to register, but it is expected that readers return them to the shelves when finished.

The mosque has also integrated a digital system for donations. Worshippers can make donations by scanning the barcode available at the door of the mosque, although charity boxes are still provided for those who wish to donate in cash.
