Feel the Symphony of Nature at Daloff Cafe
Another great experience during my recent trip to Central Aceh was discovering a place with a truly amazing atmosphere. A small café perched on the side of a hill, with a direct view of a peaceful lake surrounded by green trees. Yes, the place was as beautiful as it sounded, even way above my expectation!
The journey to this café is part of the experience. I drive towards the hills, taking the winding road that slowly inclines upwards. My eyes along the journey were treated to the lush green of trees lining the road, and the air began to get cooler and fresher that afternoon, with the sky filled with clouds enveloping the mountains.
The Café and Its Ambiance
As predicted, the first spot of amazement was the panoramic view of the lake, which stretched below, perfectly reflecting the blue sky like a gigantic mirror. In the distance, there were faint outlines of other hills, adding to the mystical but peaceful atmosphere. Some fishing boats were also seen, looking like small moving dots. I brought my family to the open seating area just by the lake's edge so we could get a clear view.
The café itself has a very quaint design, with a modern white theme that encourages the youth to hang out there. It has several cozy seating areas, from the topmost location at the rooftop of the café to those facing the lake.

My Experience
Visiting a café and not ordering their coffee drinks seems incomplete, so I ordered a glass of cold palm sugar iced coffee that was refreshing and creamy. It has a dense flavor of coffee that's just right on the tongue and a slight hint of bitter sweetness. But to be honest, I must say that the enjoyment of the coffee was doubled because it was savored while gazing at the beautiful natural landscape before my eyes.
My family and I remained there for quite a while, sitting and enjoying the view and capturing pictures of sweet moments every now and then. Unfortunately, the weather gradually changed, marked by the fall of light raindrops, followed by occasional gentle breezes, and lastly rain accompanied by heavy winds, all of which left us in the cold at that point.
My Opinion
I think Daloff is a perfect destination to escape the hustle and bustle of life, meditate, or simply be surrounded by the beauty of God's creation. For people who are searching for a healing destination and willing to avoid the crowd, here one can literally feel the arms of nature embracing you. The memory of my family trip here has provided us with beautiful yet painful memories. We've never seen a café that combines such a nice atmosphere and natural beauty like this.
