How are you. I hope you people of steemian are good and enjoy your life . Well I am well. May God bless you all. Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S24- W4: which is all time my favourite topic “Places of Worship" this amazing challenge organised by @miftahulrizky . So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic.
Today I want to tell you all in detail about the temple of Baba Shyam Khatu Ji located in Lucknow city of India.
The temple of Baba Shyam is present on Birbal Sahni Marg, which is situated on the banks of Gomti. To reach here, the Hanuman Setu Mandir land route is the best.

Thousands of devotees come here to visit Baba Shyam. There is a huge crowd here on every Ekadashi day and a fair is held outside. In the fair, there are prasad sellers, flower sellers, idol sellers of God, toy sellers, ice cream and chaat sellers etc. In a way, this temple has provided employment to many people.
The temple complex is so huge that more than 500 people can visit here at a time. People come here from far and wide, ask their wishes from Shyam Baba. Baba fulfills everyone's wishes. This Shyam Baba's court is also famous by the name of Hare Ke Sahare. This is the first temple of Shyam Baba in Lucknow, it was built in Lucknow in 2008. A cowshed is also seen in the temple and any devotee who wants to donate for cow service can do so here.
The atmosphere of the temple is very calm and devotional. There is also a garden here where people enjoy the natural views during the summer season and when Bhajans are held here, one can sit comfortably there and listen to the Bhajans. There is a huge crowd here on Janmashtami, Nirjala Gyaraas, Dev Utni Ekadashi.
The flag of Baba Shyam is raised with great pomp during the Fagun festival. People come to the other Gyaraas also with flags, offer prayers to Baba and fulfill their wishes. There is so much crowd in the temple that keeping in view the arrangements of the temple, a line of devotees is made for darshan, so that no disturbance is caused in the temple premises.
There are many stalls inside the temple itself, where we can easily get the idol of Baba Shyam, throne, swing of Lord Krishna at the right rate. There are two-three shops in the temple premises itself where we get Peda, Barfi, Churma to offer as Prasad to Baba Shyam. Churma is the main offering of Baba. Baba loves rose flowers very much, people bring rose buds and offer them to Baba. There is a custom of offering perfume to Baba. Three perfume bottles are brought, out of which two perfume bottles are offered in the temple and one perfume bottle is taken back, after saying a wish. When that wish is fulfilled, then that third perfume bottle is also offered in Baba's court.
**There is proper arrangement for the devotees to sit here, chairs are also placed. For the devotees who cannot sit on the ground or who have problems with their legs, there is a proper arrangement of chairs and mattresses are also placed below, where people sit and enjoy Bhakti Kirtan Bhajan.
There is also a proper arrangement for drinking cold water and washrooms are also arranged here, the cleanliness of which is taken special care of. To reach Baba Shyam's temple, we can come by our own transport and other local transport is also easily available.** There is a proper parking arrangement outside the temple, whether it is a two wheeler or a four wheeler, there is free parking arrangement for all.
The temple opening time is from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Devotees who want to do Bhajan Kirtan here on their birthday or on any special occasion, they talk to the workers here and set up their day's Kirtan and whatever they have to offer or give as a gift to the singers, they give it.
