RE: Feature Request: Downloadable Post Histories
It's not my intention to make you worried although I admit I am worried (the info about what happens if the witnesses stop is given by xpilar in Talkchannel a few days ago) although this is what I am worried about and wrote about in the past years.
I just left a reply to @janyie (artist) who wrote about why she left and why it's said you can't say you join other platforms as well. You find my answer here if you like to read it.
Years ago I worked with Dragon it worked great for my job and didn't took long to train it for my voice. I tried to do it with my phone but it only worked with the old one which can no longer open the internet (only good for Telegram and calling). I also noticed that what I tried only seem to work with one language which isn't always very helpful. Another problem I face is that if I type it's in the way I think. If I have to speak my texts I write different which is at times frustrating especially if it comes to stories. Somehow speaking interferes with what I have in mind, perhaps because I rarely speak? Can be it's gone if I train it more but I doubt it.
Steno is handy, I learned it too. Kind of pity it's no longer. Good for my notes and if I don't want others to read it. Is steno still taught? If it comes to it I like writing with pen and paper. I still do it even if a sheet has to be filled out.
I gues if we print we have a pile as well but it might look better in we archive in a box or so LOL
I better check how much ink is left to print at least 27 times....
edit: P.s. I made a screenshot (prt sc/printscreen) and printed that. Good enough for certain comments.
There's the Plover* project, which is pretty great for steno. Basically the app converts stenography chords into plain english, using modifiable dictionaries. You don't need an expensive steno machine either, just a keyboard with n-key-rollover or a steno keyboard (they are somewhat affordable).
I have little experience with Dragon, but I remember it being expensive as heck. It's nice but yeah, takes a little bit of getting use to. Besides that I've experimented with voice records, which is probably even more of a pain in the ass than actually writing things out in the first place. Nobody is going to listen to themselves rambling for hours at a time, even if you're bookmarking things. At least I won't. I hate listening to my own voice.
In terms of your voice being different of how you write I find that kind of ironic. I mean, given how people keep looking for their own voice. The whole steno phase of mine was kinda about that, like an attempt of the writing process becoming more conversational.

My friend @grebmot, I know it might be that you prefer the anonymity, but would you care to tell me your country so it would look better on our report? I mean instead of "Unknown". But then if you wanna go with "Unknown", its okay as well.
Funny that you asked. I've noticed that singular "Unknown" in one of the reports and wondered about it. It sure does sound cool, but I'm actually just German.
Well, thank you. It's in the database now.

No, it's not in the database LOL
What is just?
Heh, the "just" part wasn't meant to be a dig at my Germanness as such, more like in the sense of reality not being quite as cool as if I was the man from Nowhere. I'm not looking down from the observation deck of the ISS, or riding a nuclear desk to Sirius, with about 70 years to kill. Nah, "just" a German with lower back pain who woke up in the middle of a cold night and threw over a fuzzy blanket like a toga while googling Pilates.
Doesn't mean I think I was hot stuff either. Like my ramblings were having some sort of ethereal quality. You know, giving people "the download" blasting their foreheads with pink lasers fired from some ancient satellite. I'm not Philip K. Dick either. I wish I was, but I'm not. Just a guy bullshitting around.
How is your back?
Have you tried a high dose of vitamin D3? It might work.
So you are doing Pilates in the middle of a cold night wrapped in a fuzzy blanket? I hope it worked.
I never met the man from Nowhere, to me you are cool enough. Don't get a cold on your back or the pain increases. BTW a hot water bag can do wonders too. Do you have one? Or two?
Bullshitting or not I like what you write, take good care of yourself.
It's not that bad it's more like my lower back is constantly sore. Still got my full range of motion but it's annoying. I think it might be a bulging disc or who knows what.
Not doing Pilates actually. Just thought it would sound funnier in context rather than saying I was stretching. Probably should lose some weight and get a better office chair or stop sitting so much in the first place.

I appreciate it!
As it was bought for work it was extremely expensive. Years later I bought if from me and was cheaper but I have no idea what it will cost these days or if there's a free option.
https://www.trustradius.com/products/nuance-dragon-speech-recognition/pricing
still not cheap...
The main problem is that I think faster than I speak. My fingers can type what I think but if I have to speak out what I think it's formulated differently.
Thanks for the link. Guess what I did with your comment LOL print
I hate that monthly subscription crap. Adobe has been doing the same thing. Not that I have ever paid for anything Adobe, but they're definitely making sure I never will, too. That's what so nice about Fade In, that screenwriting software. Just old fashioned, you buy it - you own it. It's not super expensive either. Besides there being freemium version on top of that.
Then you've got something like Xmind, which is nice and all, but they're using cd-keys tied to whatever machine you're installing on. Got two for Xmind 8 but lost one after a computer crash and got told to get fucked. Hence I juggle that remaining cd-key between machines. Like removing it manually and then re-adding the code line by line. If I'm using that software at all, that is.
In terms of your voice you probably know best, but sometimes it's worth experimenting with. I know this guy who's a musician and he's pretty good actually, but it's mostly just electronic dance stuff. Wouldn't call it mediocre, but there's plenty of that. That's how he sees himself, I suppose. Then I got to listen to something entirely different in terms of tone, like slow and melancholic, and thought that was genuinely great. But it wasn't like he envisions himself.
I am not a fan of the monthly subscribing either and if you forget you are fucked. In many cases, it's also easier to subscribe as to cancel it. I never paid for Adobe because I used open office which came with a lot of extra. My phone came with Word but it's a struggle and I have used it only a few times.
The dumb key issues we had as well. Laptop crashed, broke and you can say goodbye. There's a lot for free which is as good as the paid whatever hard to stop bills for what I don't use anyway.
I rather had the real thing on cd or DVD and not the online download option. It's the same if it comes to games. You pay, you download and next they decide you cannot play it any longer or they go bankrupt.
Does he instruct with his voice music?
Let me print you again and add it to my try-out list.
Heh, feeling like you're doing a file on me.
I'm not sure what he's using exactly but apparently a keyboard and some kind of music creation suite. Probably Apple.
Say, why aren't you writing on a computer Kitty? I get writing on your phone for a lack of a better alternative, but you could get a lenovo box and a second hand screen and you'd still have much more pleasant experience. Or so I would think at least.
I started on steemit on my phone because I could not move and mainly laid in bed (unlike today) but I learned to write and post that way. I had a laptop and the old broken ones are still around trying to fix them. I can't hold a PC in bed or? My brain works different if I lay down (more writers have that but I can't paint that way or work with concrete LOL).
I try to confiscate an old laptop of my child (bad present from school, it lives it's own life/battery/closing down) so I'm fine for the time being. This year I will buy something since a new phone I will need at least. The Samsung is getting slow (Samsung is famous for it).
Don't worry, no file about you, I print the links you give so I don't need to write it down which is a good thing since I poured my tea over my notes!
You have a link or a lenova box?
Sorry Kitty, didn't mean to be a jerk. In case you haven't noticed yet, I tend to be a little tone-deaf here and there :-). Wouldn't call myself a habitual line stepper, but I sure keep stepping into something or other (unintionally so, most of times).
Mhm. The Lenovo boxes I was refering to are tiny computers they tend to use in office spaces. Hence there's a big market for pre-owned ones which are a good bang for the buck. Cheap, somewhat upgradable and perfectly suitable for light computing and media stuff. Like compared to one of those Raspberry Pis (those were extremely overprized for a while).
I've got a Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q, which is decent enough. Again, should do office stuff just fine:

Don't get one of those AMD versions, if you're ever tempted to do so. From my experience they tend to overheat and are super loud compared to the Intel boxes. But generally don't take my word for anything, I'm a barely function as it is. Grains of salt and all of that.
Edit: The Ebay link is meant as an illustrative example. Don't order from the Americans unless you feel like burning money on shipping, obviously. They should be available anywhere though.
What makes you think I thought you are a jerk? I didn't and I wouldn't so don't worry, you can step in whatever you like to step into, take your shoes off before you get inside. Dog poop doesn't smell great.
Thanks for the link, sorry I printed it or at least I think I did. I'll check the printer later.
I never order with ebay nor amazone I'm not a fan of those two. I believe I saw months ago some one or two companies selling something like this. I'll check - noted.
Since you have a computer did you try out the Steem Retrogame Space Invasion (indeed a copy of Steem Invaders but not such a good one. It's tested and I let the family run it as well (takes a few minutes) and the reviews are not too positive but Italy can work on (or with) it. If you write a review and use the hashtag: retrogames you have another SC (the gaming one) who pays you a visit. You can play for free if you click capital P

Let me know what you think.
I hope you are okay.
Informative 👍
A good day!
Thank you!
