RE: Old Way Connecting Back Home and Sending Love Letter

in Freewriters12 days ago

I like the letter as well and am still writing them. If you like I can send you one and we'll see if it will ever arrive.
What we write on paper will last which isn't the case with a PC that crashes, all those quickly emails written and some of those great ones. I saved a few, good for publishing and rereading. What if there is no longer the possibility of internet, power?
I will see if I can gather them (most likely weeks if not months of work) and print them myself. Who knows I save them in a box with a ribbon.

In the old days we sent telegrams if the message should be fast and we made appointments at phone booths. Al this no longer exists.

Yes my friend I will cherish it forever. I will find the address keep the most the P.O Box of my Boss. I smile now and could not imagine how and what to feel receiving a letter again and I will make a post soon😇😇😇. I will check in my file the address and I will surely reply a letter too. The last person who wrote a letter was from my father. He had a bad penmanship but he always wrote me a letter . On my God I miss my parent.
How are you now, Have a great time my friend😇

Yes I remember telegram too and the last telegram was about the death of my uncle who was died after months of his graduation. He was 22 years old that time Ana I was 13 years old.

About the telephone booth, I used it here in Saudi Arabia in my first 10 years staying in this place if we want to hear the voice of my family. It was too expensive before.

I remember too how I saved all those small coins to make calls on Friday to check on family/friends. Phone calls always been expensive till the mobile phone was introduced. At that time buying credit was cheaper as the monthly fee for a landline where making phone calls wasn't included. We had to pay extra for that.
Since I no longer call family/friends I do not even call 5 times per year.

One of the reason I got mad too to my husband, I told him to call me in the landline telephone of my bus because it was cheaper to call me from Philippines booth to my employers resident telephone number. I felt disappointed that they didn't call as peru request. I really missed the voice of my son.
There was no reason not to call because I sent money to call me back.

So they kept the money and said it was too much trouble.

🍀♥️
