RE: On Parenting! - The Role of Family
I doubt personality is created. Personality is DNA nothing more, nothing less. If I would be the product of the home my parents gave me I would be a serial killer without any regrets or worse, if worse exist.
It depends on the size of the ship who decides to change course.. most likely it is not the captain.
If it was only DNA. That would raise many questions. E.g. Why would brothers have different personalities?
I'm sorry to hear that you've gone through a difficulty in the past. I know it's an example. But, I didn't expect it!
Because siblings don't share the exact same DNA. Personality is what you are, behaviour is the result of the influences you had + personality.
You and I or twenty people and I can be raised under the same hardships but personality makes the outcome different.
The result will be mostly (in my case) broken souls, anxiety (nervous, low self-esteem), agression, accepting everything without wondering/asking, depression, suicides, addictions or the opposite of all this because of the personality of that person.
No need to feel sorry, you did not take part in it
A great Sunday.
