RE: A Lesson To Be learned

in Freewriters5 months ago

I think Steemit is a long term business that is why people who keep their activity going with a certain speed otherwise one can have burn out. It is a place for relax, enjoy writing or reading, but it is not a place to replace our fmaily, friends and our life. People are active for some time and take some time off and this is normal. Many return and only minority leave completely, so it is constant change here.

It is interesting you see it as a long term business. I don't see it that way and never did. To me it's social media and one I happen to like more than those most famous ones making me feel uncomfortable. I don't like to share my entire life on Facebook, TikTok or wherever I go and that right of being anomynous was the power of Steemit. That changed for many by forcing them to show themselves with introduction posts and contests. The EU has a law against this and warns not to show pictures with children or share photos without permission but here people are forced or do so freely.

I wonder about that business.

I agree that a burnout is not far away if you live under constant pressure of a platform/social media and this is unhealthy, abnormal.
On the other hand it seems to be the only way if you want to be noticed or "liked". Not that I believe it helps to tiptoe around and do your stinking best.
Those who are liked will always be liked no matter if they steal the key, robb the bank and lie at one piece while others are broken to the ground for no reason. Steemit is a good copy of real life.

I must say there's way more to learn than on an average platform but if you want to relax it's better to go your own way and enjoy what you do even if this means you are alone (it's how most Europeanspost and survive here. They are not liked. ).

Thanks for the great comment @stef1 you gave me some things to think and puzzle about.

A great day to you!
