The Unspoken Truth: Understanding the Nature of Secrets
Probably, the best way to start here is to share a quote. There is a non-English quote that says: "Part of wisdom is not saying everything that you know".
What that quote is saying is that, there are always more to what other people are saying. There are things that we have within us that words fail to express sometimes. Those untouched territories of oneself sometimes feels better to be kept a secret. A true secret, something that has not been shared with anyone or will never be shared.
I wonder how was Nikos Kazantzakis was thinking at the time when he said: "I am afraid to die and there are so many untold stories within me". Or to even think of his emotions at the time of writing that quote.
So, what we can say is that it is true that there secrets. Sometimes we hear people say that they are a clean slate. That they are very transparent with everyone and they have nothing to hide.
Nothing to hide? Really? Am I wrong here when I think that it is madness to have say everything to everyone?
I could be wrong here. But, is it wise to say everything as your eyes see it to everyone. Sometimes, our words make a better reality to another being. Sometimes, we sense that it is the best thing to do is to be compassionate.
I will just end this with saying that every person has their own mystery box from within.
As I understand you used the prompt secret secret as in hiding the truth because you feel ashamed or afraid what other might think and how they will label/punish you since that is what secret means to me.
Secrets? Do I have them? No and those who know them or are able to read (also between the lines) know a lot if not everything.
Should I bite my tongue if i disagree? That depends on the case and if I want to be involved. Should I be afraid for other people? Again that depends and not only on the person but how attached I am to life (which isn't that much and partly comes with what I went through and age. I don't belong to the group who wants to live forever. I don't see any point in that since a body is finished after being in use after several years and nothing can avoid that.).
Looking the other way, living faaar away from from people or not saying what you think has nothing to do with having secrets. That's how I see it.
What is the grade you would give yourself for this post and why?
What is your best comment thus far? Please, read the rules of Lesson 2.
Yes, I used the prompt secret.
You don't have a secret? Really? So, you consider yourself an open book? I think this is odd. But, alright.
Regarding the rest of your comment, I think that we should agree on definition of secret in order to start agreeing and disagreeing about the remaining. You may noticed that I did not define it in the post. That is because, I want to keep this open and have more than one opinion regarding it.
Grade myself on the post? I don't know. I am not good with grading. But, I can say that any grade I would give to this post has to be lower than the one about "Light & Dark".
Best comment? I can't recall all of them. I think I liked the article that @ rosauradels has written in Italy community and below is my comment on it:

Yes, everyone has a hidden record in the traces of their lives. You, me, them. Anyone has something that they don't want/need/not want others to know.
Just like keeping our own secrets, it would be a disgraceful act if we reveal other people's secrets that could make someone embarrassed, or look inferior.
There is a religious law that says to “guard the disgrace of man, God will guard your disgrace”. Do you agree with that?

I totally agree.
Ummm.. Since, it is religious then it is safe to say that it is difficult to agree with it as a lot of people now and back then are believing that this is true. If we think of it, it is spiritual belief. I think our actions are representation of us. If we dishonor that saying, then that is only a representation of us not the ones we reveal.
There is another saying (not sure if religious or not) but, it goes like this: "What you say about others tells more about you than them". Do you agree with that?
@wakeupkitty you asked about comments earlier. In my opinion the above is probably the best from those in the program. What do you think?
