Suddenly it's 2025 ! Why does Time Fly so Fast ?
We have entered the year 2025, but somehow time passes so quickly as if since 2020 not only all life continues to move forward, not only time feels very fast, but maybe the earth or even the universe is spinning with a rhythm that we do not understand. Somehow our days feel so fast, last week feels like yesterday, yesterday feels like just an hour ago, an hour ago feels like just a minute.
What is really happening? Is this all just an illusion? Is the feeling of time passing just in our heads? Or is time itself just an illusion?
The Covid 19 pandemic can intuitively be felt as something that has had a profound impact on this feeling because it has profoundly changed human life, creating an unprecedented global disruption, Lockdown, Social Distancing, and the sudden transition to remote working have collectively stopped routines, the entire society indiscriminately entered a pause phase that forced us to face the silence and monotony of everyday life, and in this condition time feels like it has lost its shape.
The year 2020 became a point where all stress and anxiety increased, fear of disease and death, global uncertainty and others created very deep emotional memories and this also created a kind of new term in everyday conversation like before and after the pandemic. Psychologically intense emotions play a big role in strengthening memories, our memories when experiencing events that trigger deep fear or anxiety like what happened with this pandemic.
Time is not an absolute dimension, therefore in quantum physics time is just a way for us to understand changes in large and complex systems, not something that is truly fundamental in the structure of the universe. Therefore we can conclude that time as we understand it may exist but its existence is not ontological in the universe itself, it does not stand as an independent or fundamental entity but it arises from the way we as beings with consciousness and limitations understand and organize the great changes that occur in the universe. The perception of time that we experience from the past to the present and the future is not a reflection of objective reality but the result of our brain's work in processing information. In our everyday experience time seems to flow continuously, but in the universe at the most basic level time does not flow, it only exists as a relationship between events.
I have no idea where you live but I can't refer to this and with me many will feel the same. As soon as the lockdowns started the bullying at work and at schools were over. Many were happy to stay at home (homeschooling and home office) and there was no reason to get dressed and they could finally sleep, sleep and sleep.
I find it hard to believe that the youth and all those people living a life behind the screen suddenly missed playing outside. To those who used their brains it was clear from the start there was something faul and today? Everyone forgot the epidemic and was happy they were let outside again. Everyone? No way.
This test period was interesting for leaders and just like during the medieval it was proved how easy it is to manipulate people and this will happen again because the death will not speak and people have a short memory.
Does time fly or does it stand still? Whatever time is, how it feels the only thing I know is that it is for free and you can use it in the way you like. The soul doesn't care about time so why should we be in a hurry or care about a week, month or year in quarantine? It might be a great opportunity to learn oneself known.
