Day 864: 5 Minute Freewrite: Monday - Prompt: bulging eyes
This is my post for #freewrites Monday prompt bulging eyes hosted my @mariannewest
If your dog has bulging eyes it could have glaucoma it usually starts in one eye but can progress into the other eye. I googled bulging eye and that was in the google search I did not know that is what caused some dogs eyes to bulge. When I was a child someone left their dog at our campground, it was a Pekinese, I am not sure of the spelling but he had bulging eyes, but that was not his only problem, he was the horniest little dog I have ever seen. No matter who you were or what you were he was going to hump he did not care if it was your leg or a chair leg, he was going to get his jollies. My Dad would get so mad at him. I wanted to keep him like I did all the animal's people left behind but this old lady fell in love with him and Dad was happy to give him to her.
I never understood why or how someone could take their pet camping with them and leave it behind. A pet whatever its kind is yours for life it is not something you get rid of. You should never get a pet if you are not going to care for it until its time is over.
In the case of my granddaughter's dog, she had to get rid of her but she can still visit, which she does. It breaks her heart to not be able to take her home but she knows when her Mom's dog passes she can have her dog back. The dog still barks at my husband. My granddaughter hired a dog trainer so I videoed the dog barking at my husband to show him, I hope he can figure out what is going on in her head. It is like she forgets who he is. She is 95% better in the house, she just gives out a couple of barks and then she is fine but outside she runs circles around him barking like she wants to eat him but in a few minutes she will be fine with him.
Your freewrite leaves us a very valid teaching for those who fall in love with little animals, adopt them and then throw them away as if they had no feelings. I like what you said about adopting a pet is forever.
Good job, @myjob
@zeleiracordero Thank you, I feel like the pet you take in thinks of you as part of the pack and they have feelings for you and do not understand why they are no longer with you. I am glad you agree.
It’s sad to think someone would just leave their pet to fend for itself.
@redheadpei I do not understand how they could live with themselves after doing this.
