I do NOT like omens, I consider that they limit us, some people say that they should NOT pass under a ladder, but if there is NO other way then they CAN NOT fly, a black cat, we CAN NOT paint it, salt as you mention in the post, IN this life there different circumstances to face, evil is always there, but people have good and bad energies, that is perceived, felt, and if this is not the case, we analyze what it says, I do NOT like negative people, I stay away from them, conclusion, omens are NOT good, some people have killed others just because of an omen.
Omens —a good topic. If you read it well you notice the conyradictions. If it comes to omens it all depends on what you want to believe. I walk underneath a ladder but can imagine it once only started as a normal warning since what is on top of it can fall down.. It reminds me of the old cartoons where we see pianos drop (movers or angry people).
I don't believe life is easy if you have to tiptoe through it but for sure some benefit from all those fears.
