Revision || a five minute prompt
As I write this prompt some of my students are preparing for their exams, and they've really been studying hard. I usually tell them, especially the lazy ones that in times like this when the exam is close by, all they need to do is to revise what they've read before and what they've been taught. But of course, the lazy ones have not been reading before now and they have a workload to cover in such a short time.
Revision is simply reading again what you have read before, it is the act of revising. You cannot do revision if you have not read it before now. Reading ahead makes revision very easy and effective because you would just be refreshing your memory.
Revision is good.
It is not only useful for exams but other things too. For presentation in your workplace, for practicing something you find difficult, for rehearsing. It is very useful. You should cultivate the habit of revising when you need to.
