MINER #We-Write Starts on Monday The 17th

Dear Steem Community,

I and @wakeupkitty had applied to be part of the teaching team for SLC Season 23 and we were unsuccessful in securing the position. Our proposal can be read here.

We submitted the proposal as a result of our activities on Steem, where we found many problems in articles -and not just those committed by newbies-, such as false tag usage that can lead to tag-abuse, boring writing patterns, and so on. Another area of concern is low engagement, which may stem from a lack of proficiency or awareness. We intend to correct this and bring more engagement to Steem. We realize that not everyone has the skills to comment and that this can be taught. We have also made some notes on relevant matters and posted them as part of our February week two report as SCs. Through the activities that we offer in the proposal, we hope that participants -especially newbies and less exposed Steemians- can get more opportunities, knowledge and exposure, and of course the possibility of getting more “love” than usual.

Now that we learnt that we did not make ways to do it as part of SLC, after a series of conversations, we decided to do what we offered in the proposal independently. We are naming this initiative “MINER We-Write”.

We are planning to post the first lesson article on this initiative on Monday the 17th UTC. To get an overview of what might be on the “menu” please read our proposal for the SLC as mentioned above. Anything else that is unclear, including how we will finance this activity and reward participants, will be explained later, and maybe we will open doors for everyone who’d like to join in financing and rewarding.
