Application For The Community Curators - March 2025

1. What We Have Been Doing With The Entrusted Power
We read and comment, are active and notice the difference. If we comment we receive good replies and engagement is the result. Comments, art, hobbies, fun on Steemit and creativity are what we look for and reward. We invest in personal development and growth by hosting contests like MINER-WeWrite and supporting those taking part in the SSEA-MINER Programme. This is in line with one of our visions: helping to create the possibilities of greater exposure to potential Steemians who seem to have not found a way to be recognised. Giving them encouragement and a reason to engage will hopefully help them in this regard.
Based on the same passion shared by the Steemit Team, our team works to hunt and reward worthy posts and comments in large number of communities and personal blogs. During December, January, and February (still running), up to time of writing, the Team has curated 1,998 times, with a composition of 466 posts (23.32%) and 1,532 comments (76.68%).
The following table shows the number of votes we have cast over the almost 3 months we have been curating in a team called True Colours.
From the table we generated two charts: 1) comparison of the total number of posts and comments, and 2) the number of post and comment votes per month.
![]() | ![]() |
---|
You may read a decrease in the number of votes, but at the same time we increased the vote power of each vote cast, thus generating a greater reward for each of them. In addition, the True Colours 4 team in February curation activities also triggered high engagement, a lot of information was shared, a lot of questions were answered, interesting discussions took place in the comment sections, where we found comments that were worth appreciating, not only because they took the time to talk to each other but also to share interesting and important information, sometimes entertaining, in addition to asking each other how they were doing and saying hello. In time, a community that actively engages.
In terms of communities, curation has taken place within 96 communities and the Personal Blog. Articles and comments submitted via the Personal Blog have received the most votes from Team True Colours during the almost three months of curation, with a total of (posts + comments) 234 votes (11.71% of all votes cast up to the time this application was prepared). The second most voted community is World of Xpilar with 205 votes or 10.26%. The following table shows the top 20 most voted communities out of a total of 97 communities (including Personal Blogs) that have been voted on. To view the full list, click on the image.

Geographically, 59 countries from 8 continents have been curated by Team True Colours since December. The following two tables show a snapshot of the list of countries that received votes, each sorted alphabetically (country name) and the number of votes received (most at the top). To see the full list, please click on each image. Both tables are accompanied by table and chart showing the distribution of votes within continents.

2. The Plan
February is a short month and we like to continue our journey to make more Steemians comment and connect while showing the diversity and richness of Steem.
In March, if we are amongst the selected, we will be doing mostly the same as what we have been doing so far, with more in-depth attention to the development of individuals, especially low-powered Steemians who are active and creative. These Steemians make Steem ‘pulse’ with their creativity. Activity can be expected to further increase through our initiatives in the MINER-WeWrite contest and the low-powered Steemians empowerment programme SSEA-MINER.
In essence, we will continue our vision and mission to bring more joy into the Steem community with the power entrusted to us.
3. The Team For March
Just like February, this time Team True Colours applies in a team of two consisting of @aneukpineung78 and @wakeupkitty. Our experience in December, January and February proved that we are a strong duo, capable and able to do extra works under pressure and look further. We know what to do, how to stimulate and do more than just the most necessary. Trustworthy teammates are important, which we found, to be free from stress caused by a third person ignoring the team's goals and intentions.

@aneukpineung78 | @wakeupkitty
Большой удачи самой креативной команде кураторов!
Спасибо большое! Это очень много значит для нас.
Thanks. Have a great weekend.
Covering over 90 communities and over 50 countries is insane, your group of curators have done marvelously well in giving hope to Steemians who are not recognized and those who do not think they could get recognized at all. I wish and hope you get more strength and permission to do more cause without you guys, many communities would be dead by now!
Well, thank you. We always try to reach out further every chance we get.
About the picture you attach, let me ask some questions :
@wakeupkitty, I took them too and it will be amongst my PC wallpapers, I hope it's okay (cc @tezzmax)
It's very much okay, you can use the photograph. It's a Painting made with pastel chalks on chipboard paper, the painting falls under the category called "Still Life" - it's the drawing and painting of inanimate objects.
Sounds like you have to hook up with me longer or you take them since you are romantic.🤭
It's not the reflection of the flash of the camera
Thank you for the flowers!
@aneukpineung78 look! (I took them)
Ahhh hh..... Kitty, you don't want to share them with your partner? 🤣
She left me one. Enough. 😅
Lol........
You can have them if you serve me tea.. I believe the vase will do as a tea cup. You can dry the roses and hang them at the ceiling.
He already has my love. He better serve that tea he promised!
Curating 533 comments in December, 670 comments in January is amazing and huge. The total amount is also impressive, the gap of the number of total comments curated and total posts curated is very large.
I believe this has also managed to encourage alot of steemians to comment. The initiative of this team has never been witnessed in any steemcurator teams in steemit.
From the other tabulated statistics I saw, I noticed male steemians comment more than female steemians though I used to this the female steemians comment more.
Well presented application with impressive statistics that sounds as proper evidence of good work. The vision of this team is very massive. It all started in September 2024 and it will keep on existing. Keep it all pals 🟠☘️
Am still with my purple heart 💜, I have been saving it in a box 🤧😇.
No, men do not comment more but in a different way. Women engage more and you find longer talks up and down next to that they deal with issues men don't deal with:
If you read the reports of December, January and February you see that we invest more time in rewarding male/female equally which means longer searching since we have more than gender only we take into account if we reward. If it was just click-upvote what we see (posts, no matter what) it would be very easy.
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.
Take care of the purple heart - do justice.
A good Sunday
🍀♥️
Yes there are communities where women aren't much. I wish it is possible to know the exact number of active male and female steemians in steemit, am just curation to know.
Truly men have easier access to the internet but somehow men are always busy, am not saying women aren't always busy but men do spend their time in doing other things though I agree the internet isn't really difficult for them to access.
I observed most of the reports and I must confess that curating really has alot of do with numbers and perfect timing too. The reports as well must be very authentic/accurate. Team True Colours is really trying and this is the most hardworking team in the platform for this season.
Purple heart was broken abit, still fixing it and I understand what you mean by Do justice and I will. Goodluck to the team.
If I read the average diary it's: I woke up, I brushed my teeth, I had breakfast (made by wife/sister) I went out, I came back, I took a nap, I waited till dinner was served, I went out with friends). I never read that with women. Many work next to a household and many don't have internet (think about the large group from Asia a complete different culture and the women are in minority (allowed or not allowed).
I know in Italy there are perhaps 6 women? That's not much.
I am not sure if it can be counted. I am more interested in knowing how many account are inactive. 40% or more like 80%?
As usual, you dislike diary game posts that aren't about special activities and also diary game posts with improper beginning/start up. Ma patjewell has always emphasized about making the beginning of our diary game post very catchy. Some steemians followed her words while some ignored it.
Like 6 Italy women? Tunisia surprises me alot, they aren't up to 10 steemians from Tunisia.
Alot of users are inactive. Just like the saying I hear alot. Dead people are many in number than the current people alive in this earth. This applies to the current situation of steemit. The people who left steemit for good are more than the current active steemians in steemit(including the ones that just comment and post monthly).
No, only 2 Italian I believe.. It says enough or?
I don't agree with you people leave for good unless they passed away. I saw many come back during the past two months. I left twice myself for about 1 year.
i dislike the fact that the diary is called a game and there is no game aspect, no creativity just a boring listing of whatever is done. A topic will not make it any better. The fact is that most people are not writers which shows. So why not let them post something else? Photos, videos or whatever they like.
Whatever patjewell tried to teach didn't work that's clear. People still write the same old boring story and in average it's not read and moderators lie they do. Only on very rare occasion I read something good and it makes me wonder why not give it a different title and call it post. The diary game is end of story if you like it or not and those who write it today can still write without that dumb boring uninviting title. Don't pretend you read it because I know you don't and you miss a lot of details if you "read" a post.
It's my opinion and experience that if you let people do/post/write what gives them energy/about their skill/hobby that shows and you have something good. That part is mainly killed same for creative writing.
There are plenty of countries not willing to show the nationality and why should they? The country tag is also hashtag abuse. It should be used if you post about a certain country, if you travel for example. That was how it was used as Steemit started. It doesn't make sense if I write a travel post about Turkey or Spain and I use the hashtag Holland.
Not just passed away, alot of them migrated to hive too. Oh you left twice, any crucial reasons you left?
I wonder who brought this Diary Game initiative or it should be called My day in scripts. When I was new my steemit mentor told me about diary games that is best for it to be very lively and represented with catchy pictures that can please the audience.
There are alot of people who enjoy reading diary game posts and they are also people who have interesting diary game posts too. Though some diary game posts are funny too especially the ones whereby the steemian is talking about a funny event that took place around he/she.
Yes it looks weird maybe using of country hashtags is used to track population census in steemit based on each countries.
When exactly did they leave for Hive? I notice the other way around.
When did it start? I still wrote a diary #forthechildren (that link doesn't work since ages like most of it). Why? For all those who cannot write and can't make up something? It might have been a good thing if after all those years these writer had improved their style.
If it comes to your mentor that advice didn't work out that's for sure. Fewer text and better photos would make a world of difference just like leaving the "I am and greetings behind" who wrote that in his diary? Steemit already shows the name twice and greeting and asking how do you do is insulting and crazy if you have no intention to listen to the answer.
Everything is used to track you and put you into a databank which is not even the same one. LOL.
There are not a lot of people enjoying reading diaries if that were the case there would be hundreds of great comments left and there would be engagements (replies, replies, replies). Let's stop this topic not one single publisher would publish this and those you mention who enjoy reading the diaries would they read if they had to pay for it? Would you pay 10 Steem to read the diarygame? If yes, give me a link of a great diary writer. Not a writer who makes up the diary with the idea to sell it, not the I did this and that, but what a diary originally is meant for and should contain.
I wait (for the good links)
Great work guys.
You two make a great team.
I'm sure you would do more starting march.
Thanks, ezun1. Let's see how February ends and what will March bring. Great day to you.
Anda berdua sangat keren sekali saya sangat salut dengan kerja keras Anda berdua, semoga sukses bapak @aneukpineng dan juga teman baik @wakeupkitty
Terima kasih sahabatku, selamat hari Minggu yang kreatif!
Terimakasih temanku, anda baik sekali.
Terima kasih dan selamat berakhir pekan.
Steem On.
I share and know in good ink the work you do. Great promoters of art and writing. Always motivating and creating spaces for greatness. There are people who are of a sensitive matter and for whom good things have to happen. There are people who perceive the beauty of art among so many imperfections. Who take time away from their time, in the service of others. Who reach out to you and wipe your face. And with words of encouragement, they motivate and lift you up. For those people who conduct themselves with creation. All the respect they deserve, and as José Martí said. Honor to whom Honor deserves.

You are deserving and I wish that you will get chance again to perform as curator on Steemit. God bless you
The best and most organized team I have ever seen in steemit since I joined. They are very dedicated to the role and I must confess that it has also given them the opportunity to be more experienced in this platform.
Thanks for stopping by. You mean the platform profits from our experiences, ideas and out-of-the-box thinking or? Since it is what we use to search and create. 🤔
cc @aneukpineung78
Let's hear more. Hey @saintkelvin17. I believe you will always be 17 as I will always be 78. 😅😅
You want to hear more, there's always alot to say. One thing I noticed from November 2024, this team's application post always have the highest engagement and is always lively and interesting.
Sometimes when I see your username I mistakenly that 78 as your reputation instead of 74.
Nevertheless am getting older, next month I should be adding another one year to my age. I believe this year you will get closer to 78, each year you are getting closer to it, lol.
or it stands for his bank account 78K dollars...
@aneukpineung78 what's up with the 78? Enlighten us please because the image below shows that your username without number 78 was always available.😂
I meant that the both of you being a curator had also increased the experience you both have in this platform. Day by Day you and your team mate do come across steemians who you haven't seen in steemit before. From seeing them from the first time I believe you make more research from them or make an encouraging comment after upvoting.
The initiative of this team has somehow taught other teams more things. The rate of other teams curating comments has increased abit unlike early 2024.
The remaining thing left is for other teams to also nominate comments too. At least two more teams and it will boost steemians to engage more in the platform.
It's good to hear other teams curate upvotes a bit more. The comments are not hard to find if they are commemters and know where to find them or should I say through whom to find them 🤔
Nominating a comment might be harder than a post?
Definitely the comments won't be difficult to find if the curators are commenters, most times they can even decide to initiate and engagement by saying something interesting or asking w question and mentioning few active steemians along side.
Nominating a comment is harder than a post, to see the best comments is somehow rare.
Thank you for your trust. The more we search the more we find. I wish you a good Sunday
Thank you very much. Have a great weekend.
Excelente equipo. Trabajo y transparencia a la vista de todos.
Thank you, solperez. In this case, bringing a thorough report that is transparently available to all -in our opinion- is among the obligations towards the use of the power that has been entrusted. Furthermore, I love statistics, so even though this requires extra work (as mentioned by @wakeupkitty), it is worth it and is fun for me (ain't it for you too, Kitty?)
The report could still be improved, but so far we have given our best effort to do so in line with the Steemit Team's vision as seen in the March Curators recruitment announcement post, particularly the attention to comments and personal blogs, keeping it a concise part of the application but covering important relevant information.
Yes, it is fun and the ideas pop up while reading and seeing the reports and it's a plus I don't drive you crazy with the next check 🤣
P. S. I noticed something 🤐
Jajaja. Hacen una dupla genial.
I thought it was the smoke of the woodstove blurring my vision but it's true you put the focus on MOuSe!
Funny.. together we have North,East. South, West LOL
What can I do? I could use more attention than you do. 😅 But even so, you occupy the most part of the picture. So I guess we're even. 😅
I believe you get a lot of attention!
