RE: Anyone Can be a WITNESS - meet @wakucat

in Freewriters16 days ago

Greetings @wakeupkitty

You're right that some accounts generate template-like comments, but this can be permissive if they're for advertising purposes, as a kind of business is also generated within Steemit where certain curation projects and app are promoted.

On the other hand, I don't know how the title relates to the content, but it's not easy to be a witness, since it not only requires knowledge (which I don't doubt you have), but also requires investment to have the servers that allow you to carry out the activities as a witness.

I will definitely give you my vote like @solperez did if you confirm that you have the ability to do so, or failing that, if my friends @the-gorilla and/or @moecki give you their support.

I don't talk about templates used by moderators but the comments they give.
Take friend @solperez for example she reads and adds personal comments! On the other hand I see in Incredible India a moderator generating AI comments. That's what I am talking about. Drop the template if you can't read or lack time but don't pretend you did while using AI again.

I invest and have a server and node, so I am not just announcing some idea. If that would be the case there is no way to vote.

Thanks for the trust. You made clear how the hierarchy is.

👍

The title is the prompt of the freewriters which I used to freewrite and announce the server and node operate. Is that wrong? I posted a freewrite in the freewriter's community and freewrites are posts where the mind does the writing. 😁
On the other hand how many Steemians understand what the average Witness or developer says?

I like to do it my way and if no one cares I invest my money in helping keep the blockchain running, making it faster, I don't see the problem. It's still my money I flush through the drain not someone else's. 🤭

¡Se tenía que decir, y se dijo! Jeje.

On the other hand I see in Incredibable India a miderator generating AI comments.

This is sad; users believe it's difficult to know whether a text is AI or not. Perhaps they should be left with an observation or a moral recommendation about its role.

I invest abd have a server and node, so I am not just announcing some idea. If that would be the case there is no way to vote. Thanks for the trust. You made clear how the hierarchy is.

I just wanted to confirm because, like you, I don't like to take things lightly. I take into account some details and then act. I'm knowledgeable, but I humbly seek other ideas when well-being is focused on something in general, in this case, Steemit.

The title is the prompt of the freewriters which I used to freewrite and announce the server and node operate. Is that wrong?

No, nothing like that. I was just curious: "Any user can be a Witness." Can you imagine many users posting about their desire to be a Witness, demanding that they be given the opportunity, without considering the roles and responsibilities they must fulfill?.

That's right, everyone invests their money in what they want, and what's good for them. In fact, investing to be a witness is a promising and satisfying idea if you enjoy it.

I believe I mentioned I had days of talk what the idea is and if there's any need to step in. It's not that I have no idea how to spend my money but I like to see something more optimistic than the depressing list if I look at Vote Witnesses

Over 5 years passed and this is still what we see.

Next to the fact new witnesses are not visible, let alone be noticed or can easily be voted for. There's no way I can scroll through the list and see 200. How come those who left are more important than those who are willing to give a hand?

I also like to say that I find it strange to read that you an adult man need permission from two others to vote while on the other hand all the little ones are told to vote for... decide themselves because the platform is decentralized.I must admit this remark of yours gives me an awkward feeling — let's presume it's a translater issue...

If it comes to "anyone can" I wrote about this before and I do believe way more could invest and support since I am by far not the most wealthy one on this platform (more likely the always supportive idiot).

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and reply, it's appreciated.

🍀♥️

Yes, it's a situation that arose since the fork, but I'm happy to see that little by little more developers are joining the platform, and those ghost or dead witnesses have been left behind.

It's not a question of permission, it's respect for the guild.

The title isn't a criticism, it's just that (when I read it) I thought about it. That anyone who's interested can be one. If you have the will and the resources, you can do it. Promotion isn't superfluous; it's all advertising. Or perhaps, in your country, politicians don't come around offering you to vote for this or that person. It all depends on how we see it. For example, if you made this post about your launch as a witness, it's because you want to be visible to try to get votes. This, apart from being normal, is necessary.

The ghosts are visible and will not be removed, and more and more developers aren't the solution. The only thing that can be done is a hardfork to remove them (with or without risks) or make this enormous list with "ghost witnesses" invisible at first sight, since they dominate everything and for that all active witnesses or should we say servers should be visible which isn't the case. It's even impossible to vote for them unless you have the names. I tried it but there's no way for me to load them.

Actually, I didn't make this post to be visible as a witness. It's a freewrite and I started with a prompt for a title and the first part of text. Next it is what freewrites look like, a flow of the brain, and after 10 minutes of writing this is the result. If you never freewrite for real for sure real freewrites will baffle you and might even look chaotic.

Should I promote myself and beg for votes? I tell what I do and stick to my word and will see what I can do to make Steemit more visible. I shared plenty of options during the past months and noticed are big part of them are picked up by others.

To me this is not about fighting others, being in competition, not as a witness, not as a person or with my communities. You might find this stupid, but who knows I am not the greedy or more aware of what is going on for real and like anyone else I am not immortal. I do what I believe feels good, which is more like a giving back way more than I ever received and unlike many others, I am not rich and no big fish. I am also not an idiot who doesn't see I am used or should I say abused? Still this is me and it's my choice.

I wish you a creative weekend.
