An Unexpected Host in a Flower
It was in my first dose of Covid vaccination when I took these photos. It was held inside NBCC School Campus where there is vast area still undeveloped. Gigantic Mahogany trees and bushes and grass, even five fingers and sweet potato grew in the uninhabited area.
I was waiting for my husband,he was way behind me because his blood pressure soared when the medical personnel checked him. It took him about 15 minutes and so I entertained myself in taking photos around. A flower caught my attention. I have been using this shrub's roots and boil it as tea. Whenever I get sick due to stress, or what we call here "bughat", I drink a tea out of this. It is better to drink this tea and sleep. A relief would be felt when waking up.
We call this shrub "amorsiko" Bidens pilosa , also known as black-jack. This first photo is the flower that caught my attention so I went closer and held it because strong winds blew.
Then I saw the matured seeds of the plant and held it with the flower to take a good photo. It was hard doing this because I was carrying a 9kg backpack and the phone feels heavier than usual. Maybe it was the effect of the vaccine that time.
Capturing the bud is so hard too, with my camera zoomed in into 5x, and the wind plus i guess my hands are shaky too.
Then I noticed this host. you may loos again in the first picture on where he hid while taking the photo. I am shocked by his sudden appearance and then, I thought it is not dangerous so I took the chance to take a photo of it.
I'm showing you the best photo that I had of it, maybe some other time, if given another chance to see a wonderful insect minus the strong wind and not carrying a heavyweight. I might get a more detailed picture. Doing this makes me think of investing in a high-quality camera but I know I still have to wait for the right time to buy it.
This would be all for now and I hope to have a strong data connection later to come back here.
