My Saturday's Evening Lesson with UbongAbasi was English Language.
Greetings my good people of steemit world, I'm sure you guys are doing well, I'm doing great also, by the grace of God. I wish for you all God's wisdom and abundant blessings in you life endeavours.
Saturday, July 12th, 2025, was another fulfilling day in my teaching journey. I had the pleasure of continuing my evening lessons with UbongAbasi, a bright and eager son of my landlord.
My landlord had been so impressed with his son's progress since we began our lessons that he decided to increase our frequency from once a week to twice, and sometimes even thrice a week.
UbongAbasi's father was thrilled with the effectiveness of my teaching methods and didn't mind the additional cost. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it motivated me to continue delivering my best.
During our lesson on the 12th, we delved into "English Language," focusing on the topic of "Spellings." To make the learning experience engaging and comprehensive, I broke down the topic into subcategories: "How to Read, Spell, and Write."
To illustrate each concept, I used the blackboard to list two and three-letter words. I then guided UbongAbasi through the process of using vowel and consonant sounds to make pronunciations, read, spell, and write those words.
To document our progress and share our achievements with my Steemit family, I took pictures throughout the lesson. These visual records not only serve as a testament to our hard work but also provide a valuable resource for future lessons.
The outcome of our session was truly remarkable. UbongAbasi not only mastered the spellings and readings of the listed words but also demonstrated his understanding by writing them down independently. He surprised me when he mentioned additional two and three-letter words that weren't on my list of words on the board.
UbongAbasi's father was overjoyed with his son's performance, and I'm happy that I've been using my wealth of experience in teaching profession and contribute to preparing young minds for a brighter future. Moments like these remind me of the profound impact I can have on the next generation through my teaching.
By sharing my knowledge and experience, I am contributing to the growth and development of our society, one student at a time.
