Tell your story #54: How I lost my job (part 1 ).

Hello everyone, I am here to tell my story of how I lost my job. I won't say it was the best job ever, but I enjoyed working there because, for the first time, I was made manager of a store. It wasn't easy, but at least I had fun.

Well, it's a long story. There was this one time an accident happened on Saturday night. That day my boss, my colleague, and my sister were all present. Every day before I went home, I always checked the tap before leaving the store, but my co-worker went there and turned on the tap and forgot to turn it off, and she didn't even ask me for help.

So then on Monday morning I came to work. I was in such a great mood. I looked around the stairs, and water was dripping from the store all the way downstairs. I felt maybe it was the rain, not knowing it was from the toilet. Immediately I opened the door; the water poured out. I was speechless. I got scared; tears started pouring down my eyes. I didn't know what to do. The first thing I could think of was to call my mum, but she didn't pick up the call. I called so many times my hands were shaking; I couldn't breathe.

Then the next thing I could think of was to start packing the water. I could feel my heart trying to jump out of my chest. Then my mum called. I didn't even greet her. The next thing that came out of my mouth was, "Mum, look at the store. My boss told me to handle it. Mum, I'm so dead." She asked me what was wrong. I told her. She asked me where my co-worker was. I told her she wasn't here yet. My mum said she was on her way and I should calm down. I said, "Ok," and then she hung up. Then the worst happened: the water had already gone all the way to a showroom where they sell televisions, air conditioning, etc. It wasn't funny at all. The boss of that showroom said he was going to send us to court and that he won't take it.

Still yet, my co-worker wasn't there yet. I heard footsteps slowly coming upstairs; when I looked up with tears in my eyes, I saw it was my fellow worker. She just stood there and kept watching me; she didn't even come to help me. At that time, my mum arrived and was angry at the sight of my fellow worker not helping to clear the water. My mum started shouting at her and was like, "Why would you be standing there and watching your partner cry?" She shouted at my mum, and I was like, "Would you please stop it and help me out?" Then my co-worker was like, "Omo, I'm out of here; it's not my business," and she left.

My madam came and reassured me that everything was fine, and then she went down to the showroom. I was so happy she wasn't angry. The moment I was called, all eyes were on me, like I had murdered someone. Then the next thing I heard from my madam was that this girl is very careless. I don't know what to do to her. She kept saying things I had never done. Then I asked myself, I have lied to everyone else, but I have never lied to this lady, so why did she suddenly change? .

I thought it would end here, but not knowing this was just the beginning, this is all for part 1.
