SLC23-W5 // "Venezuelan Cuisine"
Greetings and welcome to my blog. It’s another beautiful week of learning world cuisines and am glad to participate in this weeks course.
What is new for you from the course, any spice or cooking technique or anything that you want to share?
Well, Couple of things are new for me in this weeks class of learning.
First I cook my chicken first before frying it and most times, so don’t get to marinate it. So marinating my chicken with those ingredients were new to me.
Also having to fry the chicken in oil before cooking was new. Like I said, I would usually cook it before fruit in oil.
Also some of the slices listed for the cooking are new to me. Some of them are not available over here hence I used the available ones or their substitutes.
Make the given recipe or any recipe that you like from Venezuela cuisine step by step in detail with pictures. Include your name tag with date in final presentationof recipe.
For my Venezuelan cuisine, I used the following ingredients:

My Venezuelan cuisine was ready and delicious and ready to be devoured. It was very tasty and I enjoyed it. I also shared with my friend and she loved it.
My final presentation
Is your local cousin has any food that resembles with the shared recipe?
Yes, our local fried rice has the same resemblance with this recipe and it’s also cooked with vegetables. We however cook the chicken before frying it. And we don’t get to boil the rice with the vegetables rather we fry them together in place of the boiling.
Which flavour or spice do you like from Venezuelan cuisine?
I like the combination of the ingredients used in the marination of the chicken. It gave it a great flavor from the norm. Especially the thyme amd garlic mixture was great.
Thanks for the class, it was insightful. I ask @zisha-hafiz, @dewueen and @mfdo to come join the challenge.
