Who Longs For Something?

I admit I long for something as well and this year didn't. work out the way I hoped for half way 2024.

1. Not a single Steem for my children to buy them a present
   How come I give to others but forget about them?

2. All the languages I was learning (and keeping up with) I stopped.
   I like to start again or... I'll see.

3. No summer, no vacation.
   It's not necessary to leave but there was no sun and I have a huge lack of it.

4. I found a list of active Steemians I used a few months ago.
   50% of them left already 2-3 months ago. This is a bad sign, avery bad sign.

5. I started something new - Art & Artists @hive-120695
   With art came drawing, scribbling, I love it.

6. I read again, I watch films/series again.
   A promise of this year was to watch Korean series and share the experience. I finally, hope to catch up. It's great that book and film reviews are more frequently posted.

7. Friends
   Steemit is like the offline world. Good people, bad people. Some come (back), others leave. Sofar it was a good year. @olivia08 my dear friend is back, @patudoh is and with a few I have daily contact outside of Steemit. So I write, I write a lot and I am grateful for the new friends I found.

8. I have a couch!
   It took 11 years or so but I can finally change into a couch potato!

9. Communities & Contests
   I've been active, supportive, worked hard for communities not worth my time. I gave up on them and will only do what I like and... can afford and are willing to invest in. It is me, my skills and mytime I invest in a platform that I don't own but we all are a small part of. Look at me, I even post links on X no one cares about.

10. December
    Winter won't wait and I need time for me and my beloved ones. I will write, I will engage but give up on sponsoring a part of the contests. Contests are time consuming, at least for and it's time for me to enjoy different sites from Steemit like the commenting side plus I need more time to write.
