RE: The Current Steemit, Inc. Employee (SRs, CCs, Challengers) Statistical Data

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE2 days ago (edited)

I find it a very interesting fact that more and more accounts are not losing Clubs.

I believe you mean "curators are no longer in a club" or "lost their clubstatus" can be it's not checked and only the name of one specific curator in a team counts since this overview shows that steemit is only for a part of the world.

I am not sure if Venezuela is the only one who reigns here but I do find it remarkable how rules set by the team are ignored and only seem to count for a few and from SRs are asked to be an example and loyal... If I see the tables the double role is more common than an exception. No extra table of who holds the booming votes and is a moderator, teacher/challenger and works for witnesses? For sure the picure would look different.

I wonder who those two SRs from Germany are since @weisser-rabe already said goodbye and I never met the other and if so I am not aware s/he is an SR.

If it comes to Europe - 51 countries! - I find it shocking how ignored they are, same for certain Asian countries. Not represented but also if it comes to receiving support and rewards. No way a newbie knows where to find those people (SRs). Btw I like to add that SCs from Europe vote for everyone unlike other moderators. If this is the average trend it does sound corrupt (or is it farming) to me.

Nice #doseoftheday, it's not my cup of tea, not very positive and it reminds me of the post of not too long ago. It feels as when I see this list it's all true.

I know this is a lot of work, who knows I study it more if I am bored.
A happy day!
Thanks for the tables and pies. Chocolate 🍪?

Hi Kitty...!

I announced my retirement as SR after the new call for entries was published. With my decision not to reapply, I ruled out any further participation in this form and even though I didn't want to ‘quit’ prematurely, I'm not writing any more reports. Beyond that, I'm as representative as ever ;-)))

By the way, the other German SR is @moecki.

I share many of your criticisms. I've always been against these double appointments of SR and Community Curators, and also against the same people always being appointed. The point is, there aren't that many applicants when it comes to these calls. If you take these positions seriously and want to fill them correctly, it makes work. Just like in real life: nobody wants to be elected...

Otherwise, the SRs have taken over from the country representatives. This established a format that is not only focussed on one's own nation, but also looks at the bigger picture. It worked semi-successfully... ;-))

As far as the clubs are concerned, Club5050 is a good way for me to balance my own benefits with those for the community. I've always done that, even before the clubs were introduced. However, I don't look at any tools and thus fulfil my obligations, but I power up by feel and am always somewhere in the region of 50%. I haven't used the tag for a long time because I don't think it makes sense. It shouldn't make any difference how a post is rated and non-content tags are not a good thing...

The Steem lives with and from its people. My aim is to write, read and network. Yours too? ;-))

The SRs Recruitment

Thank you for outlining the recruitment process of SRs, especially the early history when SRs were introduced that they were recruited from CRs (Country Reps). I have gone deep into the steemitblog post list and found a post uploaded on 20 Feb 2023 about the cancellation of CR positions and the launching of SR positions. I was not there when this historic event happened, and I find it an interesting historical fact.

The point is, there aren't that many applicants when it comes to these calls.

So, I think this is more or less the same thing that we, Team True Colours 5 (me, @wakeupkitty, @solperez) faced in May when curating with sc08, who already had a curation plan (which was a legacy and development of the same work through previous True Colours teams), which at some point had to fit with what was on the menu.

... nobody wants to be elected.

Interesting. 😃

The Club

Was it ever a requirement -officially from Steemit Inc.- to include club status as a tag in a post? I myself also don't feel this is an important tag, and like you say, "doesn't make sense", and have never done it (as I recall), never even thought of using it even though I often see other users doing it. I think it must also have a history and has a lot to do with curation tasks in the community, especially with the booming vote that has been in the authority of the community for quite some times.

The Aim

Write, Read and Network. Add pies and chocolate for me. Am always hungry, in the mood for next food. 😃

Thanks

... nobody wants to be elected.

Interesting. 😃

I could swear there were applications and 7 new ones or more. 🤯
Did I miss something or is the team waiting till the present curators finished since @joslud already announced the installmemt of the new SRs including holding the booming votes at the start of June.

It sounds like a very small world or is it: It's a small world after all?

🕐 Reading and thinking before giving my opinion.

  • I'm glad to see the kind of commentators our friend's post attracted.

Replying to you, @wakeupkitty

  • As a bit of humor, I dared to predict that the new SRs would be announced at the beginning of June. Even though I knew it was likely the same ones would remain. (Just like in my country, many elections and the same ones always remain, excuse my mental filter) I also failed in my prophecy. 😂

Yes, I remember reading several things about the new SRs.

  • There were new Steemians who applied.
  • There were reluctance, clarifying that bureaucratic reports were necessary, among other reasons.
  • Many (mostly) old SRs applied again.

I believe in Steemit as the platform for creatives: arts, literature, technology, in short, in all areas and for "everyone who wants to belong. But I'm also a realist; I also stay here because it generates profit for me, and that's a reality and a valid goal for many. I also understand that measures must be taken to keep Steemit strong and firm over time.

 yesterday

I find this thing about politicians not changing even after so many elections to be a sad but ‘funny’ fact. But maybe as weisser-rabe mentions, not many want to run other than those guys, in line with your point, ‘Many (mostly) old SRs applied again’. Not many want to be elected. Or, maybe those guys are simply the best choices there are. Haha.

Here is something totally wrong. I did not see the announcement of SRs and again you send me the message it's already decided. Let's blame the translator.

If the same are chosen it proofs several things and the main thing is that that the "complaining" about scam, farming is fed and kept alive by steemitblog.

I just had a look at the list of those who applied and I have my top 10 and can add a few more to make it 20. Most of them will not wear all hats and have strong ties with one community or or country.
How about your choice?

Are meassures taken to keep Steemit strong or are we in the middle of the next coupe?

Like you I like to see the freedom of creativity and real committed people, committed to their niches and not a billion of unwritten rules with false promises. It's clear where the biggest rewards go while the investment and (personal) growth is the lowest.
It's a long way to PoB unless it stands for farming and scamming.

is the best thing I can do and continue my way since after all those years doing the right thing I still feel like that good child always being ignored by St Nicholas and his helper Zwarte Piet giving candies to those who misbehave, shout and complain while the sweet children are ignored.

59 applications for new SRs lineup position were submitted during the application acceptance period. I wrote about it : The 2025 Steem Representative Applicants Statistics. I failed to put information on how many of the applicants are currently SRs. So I went back to check and I present you the info as seen in the image below, that 20 of total 59 applicants are currently SRs. So, what @joslud said, "Many (mostly) old SRs applied again." is true, that 76.92% of current SRs (26) are re-applying for the same post. And they are 33.90% of total applicants.

I don't think there's a problem with an SR reapplying, as long as they know they can add value to the platform's activities.

Among the most recently selected SRs, I've seen cases where they resign because they no longer want to share activity reports (they've never said it's mandatory). Everyone is free to do so or not. I don't understand why they get caught up in something that isn't common.

Reports only show information for those who are interested; for example, your reports may be interesting to some, and not to others—just a bunch of tables. My friend @joslud always shares reports, as he believes it's important to show them. The same goes for SR reports; for some, they may be of interest, for example, to the Steemit team, who should be aware of each individual's performance.

I also don't understand why they object to SRs managing Steemcurator accounts. Anyone with the moral authority to do so should have no problem.

The requirements for a user to be a curator are to go beyond their favorite topics and look beyond their friends.

And here again I read among the most recently selected SRs

I wonder how to inteepret this. @josluf remarked the new SRs are selected... Since you work for the same boss I am curious to hear what you are cooking or cooked.

I als wonder what the value is you add to the platform. The interesting thing is that I never see you show up in the part of the Steemit world I am, live, go to, visit.
So what is your value next to???

I doubt you look beyond your favourite topic let alone your country. There is zero interest for 51 European countries, western countries, good communities you rather seem to leave than exist and I don't even say grow.

As a Steem Representative is your main task to reoreswntate the Steem whitepaper and it's owner Justin Sun, to be there for everyone not for a select group and keep the gang alive ruling and filling the pockets since that is farming as well.

May I ask how much dollars you invested in buying Steem and SBD? Your posts are not that special unlike what many others post. So what makes you so valuable?

A creative weekend with or without booming votes and bomuses

🍀♥️

P. S. i just read your SR report. I find it far from interesting, not very well written and kind of insulting to state that SRs who didn't post weekly to receive the fat reward(younmean @weisser-rabe) are not sticking to the rules. I assume draining Steemit and flooding it with messages and reports with zero info is valuable for the Steem eco? Before I forget to ask, do you burn your steem and is that your value perhaps?

I don't say there's any problem with it. It's everybody's (including current SRs as stated in steemitblog's post) right to step forward. What I do is purely statistics. People sometimes needs to know different angle of information. I just so happen to love statistics. I bring the data, what people do with it is up to them.

And I added 2 more images to the above comment.

Reports only show information for those who are interested;

EXACTLY! Now you get the point, Bro. So, I guess you understand that I meant no offense. Are you offended? Please just take this report as a bunch of crap. :)

No, I'm not talking about the representatives for you; it's an analysis I'm doing, taking into account the comments.

I'm sure you share numbers, just as I do with the Booming report, so everyone can draw their own conclusions, especially when it relates to the well-being of an ecosystem like Steemit.

Hugs.

especially when it's related to the well-being of an ecosystem l have on Steemit

Here we go.
The ecosystem YOU have. Is it always about you and your group?

If 66% is new it's made clear that there is interest but we should also not forget the rules set for the application next to the fact many do not even know the SR exists and those present (known) act like CRs and many if not most have zero interest in other ciuntries and cultures.

I believe that the vote automatically counts "heavier" if you are in a club no matter if you use the tag and frequently I don't, same for the country tag, which I find a strange one to use. I a sure years ago we only used if we wrote about a certain country. If I write about Italy, I would write #italy. What else should I use if I travel to make clear what my trip was about?

I am not so sure that more variety isn't possible or that there can't be fewer SRs from certain countries. It feels more that every community has an SR and they do not represent Steemit since too many are forgotten or given a hand. Besides, I doubt that practical issues related to the country I live in (like buying SBD) can be solved by an SR in Indonesia or elsewhere. Even if there's a choice and there are doubts, still there's chosen for the same group no matter if the powerdown or wear 20 hats.

Thank for letting me know that @ moecki is the other or should I say only, representative left.

Happy writing, I am totally fine writing in the corner of my world.

 yesterday

When I returned to Steem in July last year, I found that country tags were a must for contest entrants in some communities, and by country, it means the author's home country. Since then I have always written the country tag as one of the first 5 tags of each of my articles.

Also, I think the country tag was once an important tag for curators working by country, or perhaps at a time when Steemit Inc had CRs (Country Reps) before CRs were cancelled and Steemit Inc. introduced SRs (which as the name suggests, are supposed to work regardless of geography).

In case I visit another country or write something related to another country, I will use two country tags, readers will understand the reason. I don't think there is any restriction on that, even in certain cases, more than two country tags are also possible, as long as the content of the article reflects that, even though it might seem like something that ‘doesn't make sense’. I have done this in the book review article Musashi (Novel by Eiji Yoshikawa) - More Than Just A Martial Art Novel (the book was written by a Japanese and the article happened to have a huge proportion of Japanese tradition talk, especially related to martial art.) and the film review The Quiet Maid (Calladita) [2023]: The First European Feature Fiction Film Ever That Was Funded with NFTs! (And It's A Good Watch) (a movie made by Spanish filmmakers).

 yesterday

even in certain cases, more than two country tags are also possible, as long as the content of the article reflects that,

I believe you gave the answer yourself.. It should reflect the article not tell everything about you.

There are quiet a few who resigned months ago. I don't think they should show in this table.

An extra add of who holds the booming votes right now among those wjo are mentioned would be interesting and also make clear if the abuse of booming votes given by SRs will stop if SRs give them. Although it looks that is already an idea if the past.

 yesterday (edited)

It was a mistype, it should have been "now" and not "not". You do read. :D

It is a great idea about extra information on who currently are responsible for booming votes, we know the responsibility currently bear by the chosen communities (and by that, of course, these communities mods and admins). I think I should get in to it. Thanks.

Chocolate, always nice.

 yesterday

Yes, some read 🤣

I doubt anyone got the message the CR became a SR since the SRs are mainly interested in own country if there are country fellows at all and I see still this behaviour especially among the multiple SRs of the same country.
They don't give a damn about other countries which also clearly shows in their voting behaviour as a Steemian and curator (exception 3 SRs).

Sad but true and again not motivating. I also understand why not many apply. They don't make a chance even if there is more choice the same with several hats are always in which made many think.

Btw next to the booming vote holders x SR x teacher/chalkenger you can also add the greeter + the witnesses worked for.

Chocolate it is (if you spend fewer time in the gym your hunger might reduce).

Happy day MOuSE with new face.
