Before the match (finals) started

For some weeks I have been talking about a particular football tournament that my church youth have been participating in and they were involved with this tournament in 2023 after which they took the second position as losing their final match. This year the competition was on again and I was interested this year and I decided to follow them to see how they play against other catholic church youths.

I went to the church in the morning that day and after I finished what I was doing with my fellow Altar Servers that morning I went straight to the house to do few things before dressing up again to watch the final match of the tournament. I went to the church with my younger brother and we met some of the players there as we were all instructed to gather in the church premises and wait for the bus.

We waited patiently until it arrived and we headed straight to the venue of the match for the day. Is a very big day and I knew the place will be filled with alot of people. We came down from the bus and the players started wearing their jerseys so that they can warm up together while waiting for the match to kick off.

They just had a light warm up that moment and I took pictures with one of the players phone. I was ready to take numerous pictures that day so that I can post them in steemit and also keep them for memories sake even though I'm not in most of the pictures. Our jersey is yellow and black, a very beautiful jersey we have been using for tournaments like this and is the jersey of Dortmund which is a popular German football club.

When the match was about to begin, all the players including those in substitution, lined up and listened to our Reverend father who was present and also the referee. I took pictures of that moment too and I'm glad I didn't hesitate to take pictures of every moment before the match started. Rain fell for awhile that afternoon and I'm glad the rain eventually stopped.

The players from my church shook hands with the referee and two lines men who were putting on red jersey then they did the same to their opponent which were the guys putting on orange jersey I think that's a Juventus jersey. Juventus is a very popular Italian club and Cristiano Ronaldo was once a player in that club. All the players stood at their various positions as the referee was about to blow the kick off whistle and the whistle finally sounded and the match began. Did we win? Stay tuned for more.
