Exploration-s23w6/Backpack and tools
Greetings friends and adventure lovers, I will be taking a natural adventure to explore the woods just to have a taste of what it means to live outdoors, If you are with me fill your backpacks with tools necessary for exploration let's explore.
1. Show us at least 5 tools you would take outdoors and explain in detail how you would use them.
All tools for exploration who have been possible if i wasn't in town, but I manage to get over 5 as required by the challenge initiator and additional ones and with this few I could survive in the wild. I love and probably i could build a house on top of trees.
- Knives and pocket knives: An adventure without a knife or any form of cutting tool can never be a successful one, even cooking process can never be possible how much more exploration where i would have to tie two sticks together, kill bush meats and eat them when i am hungry. I also carried a hand glove so that my grasping the knife to perform hard task like cutting will not cause blisters.
- Flashlights and headlamps: If you hear footsteps of something whether it is an animal approaching or the rustling of the leaves you will need a torch to sight this for confirmation and also for night vision, most animals at the flash of a torchlight are scared away immediately.
- Backpacks; 95% if not 100% of all the tools can be inserted into this bag because they are all small in size, my bag here contain my portable stoves, the glove, the knife, the ropes etc
- Portable stoves; This is necessary because an exploration of few days will be energy consuming and will need food, in that case a stove can serve that purpose. In very cold weather I can use it to warm myself and it can provide fire when needed. The fire from a portable stove can be used to make outdoor bivouac fire to scare animals, for warmth etc.
- First aid kit; It contains a scissor, a surgical blade, a razor, a cotton wools, gentian violet, bandage, anti-biotics and this are used to treat cuts and bruises that could be as a result of falling a tree, scratches from thorns and all of those things ever imagine that could give us wounds.
- Ropes and ribbons; This is very essential as it helps us tie sticks together in the construction of shelter, hoist food aways from animals and trap them, it can also help in climbing, Ribbons may be cut to make tags that one could easily retrace their entry point
2. How would you transport cutting tools safely and securely during an outdoor experience? Support this with photographs.

Rhetorically, if i may ask how was my blade purchased, naked or with a covering, if eventually i misplaced that blade cover, then it can be improvised, the blade cover can be replaced by using a cardboard or a carton to make a new one. If you dont have this then look for a blanket or a towel, put them on and fold it before packaging, in folding knife, fold it in before packaging.
3. What would you carry in a first aid kit? Support with photographs.

I have a gentian violet which i will be using to apply to cuts to prevent baterial infection,
I have a disposable glove which after usage i will set them on bivouac fire i make
A big scissor could enter my box so i took it to make cuts.
Drugs like antibiotic that can be poured on wounds to prevent bleeding can be inserted into the first aid box
4. What did you think of this week's homework? Do you think this course is ready to grab your backpack and head off for a weekend to live in nature? Make a list of everything you'd like to bring in order of importance.
For sure i am ready, you can see that already, i love outdoors activities, adventures, hiking, climbing tree, swimming since i was brought in the village and i know with all this tools packed in my bag i can live in the woods for weeks, i will definite go hunting or set traps and live in the fullness of nature.
In order of importance, my backpack is very essential as this point, it contains water, food for sustainance, i can't forget my first aid kits and before this i will refill most items that have been used up like the cotton wools etc, I will carry my timer (that's my wrist watch) since i would not be using my phone at all time so that it will not fall, i can only bring it out if by any chance i miss my way and want to navigate to my entry point.

Footwear is necessary and personally i can't enter bushes without footwears, and also my exploration gloves that helps me grasp knifes without having hand blisters, tight boxer and swimming pants are at best fitting to jump into streams, i will take them with me.
