A Night Dedicated to KFC | Hostel Life Diaries

Greetings friends!
How are you all doing? I hope everyone is enjoying great health and high spirits. Today, I'm going to share a small but memorable adventure of hostel life – a night that unexpectedly turned into a flavorful KFC feast!

Introduction Who Am I?

My name is Muhammad Ali Zeb a student at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) I reside in the university hostel which brings its own share of fUn struggle and spontaneous decisions like the one you are about to read!

The Problem with Baingan: Tonight’s Hostel Dinner

So tonight, as usual, we headed to the hostel mess for dinner. But to our dismay, the dish served was sabzi (vegetable curry) Now, that wouldn't be a problem...
BUT there was baingan (eggplant) in it.
And let me tell you me and baingan have a long-standing cold war! 😂
(Don’t take it too seriously – it’s a personal grudge in a humorous way!)

The Great Escape Plan: Ordering from Outside

We all looked at each other and decided unanimously:
"We can't do this tonight."

Soon, a group discussion began.
Some said, “Let’s go out and eat.”
Others replied, “No no, just order something and eat here in the room.”

But the topic quickly shifted from home-cooked food to the delightful world of fast food! 🍟🍔

The Debate: Where Should We Order From?

• One friend suggested Cheezious 🍕
• Another one proposed Midtown 🍝
• And finally, someone shouted, “Let’s go to KFC!”

And just like that, KFC won the vote by majority. The decision was sealed.

Locking the Room & The Bike Petrol Struggle

We locked the room and headed out — full of excitement.
But when we reached the parking, a mini-disaster hit us!
Two of our bikes were out of petrol. 😂
So we pushed them all the way to the nearest petrol pump — a proper workout before dinner!

Finally, KFC – I-10 Markaz, Islamabad

We finally made it to KFC in I-10 Markaz, a spot close to our university.

There, we ordered the:

3-Person Deal:

• 3 Zinger Burgers
• 3 Fried Chicken pieces
• Fries
• 3 Regular Drinks

• Extra burgers (because we were extra hungry!) 😅

Gup Shup, Laughter & Delicious Bites

While waiting for our food, we had deep gup shup (chat), jokes, and full hostel-style shugal mela.
The food arrived hot and fresh — and it was absolutely worth it! 🤤

We ate like there’s no tomorrow.
The total cost was 1800 PKR, and every rupee felt justified with that taste and vibe.

Sweet Ending – Ice creAm Treat

AfTer dinner, we grAbbed some ice cream, which was the cherry on top!
SwEet, cold, and refreShing 🍨

Returning to the HosTel The Night Ends

We thEn made our way back to the hostel With full stomachs and happy hearts
Back in the room, we plaYed a little tash (cards), laughed sOme More, and tHen finally drifted into deEp sleep

Final Thoughts

NiGhts like these remind me how smAll mOments witH good friends turn iNto beautiful memories
It wasn’t just about KFC — it was about friendship, fun, and escaping from baingan for one night! 😂
