I'll tell you what happened to me last night.
I invited a friend over for dinner . We got to the restaurant, she looks at her phone and talks to me, then the same thing, it bothered me but I didn't let it show. Then we talked and she takes out her phone again. I looked at her and said, "Wait, I'm going to the bathroom," and I left the place. She texts me, "FELIPE, you stayed in the bathroom." My response is, I am in another restaurant I'm going to eat something delicious." She says, "What do I do then " My response is, "Stay with your phone.
Can you imagine ME there, like an ignored idiot.... None of that respects me.
I continue like this and I'll stay single. Well, I'll try to get used to it, hahaha.
I have the same experience. Once asked to come along shopping. All the other person did was looking at that phone. I wondered why my company was needed.
The last dinner with a group was like your experience. The entire group except me and someone else was watching the phone.
I find it very cool what you did, the kind of thing everyone would laugh at if seen in a film.
The time will come when the phone will be gone, same with the power. I wonder how all those people will survive. At the same time, I also wonder why they all complain about being lonely, no one to talk to, no good talk and more of the blah blah. I have no clue what they do with the thing but it can't be connecting with people.
