RE: Contest | 25-Word Comment - Monkey Business | Browser
I use a browser according to the operating system:
Windows: I use Edge. It's well-optimized for Windows, and I don’t know why more people don’t use it performs really well.
Linux: I use Firefox since it’s well-optimized for Linux.
iOS: Of course, I use Safari because it's the default and best optimized for Apple devices.
So, I think the choice of a browser is closely related to the operating system. For example, using Edge on Windows is great because it's optimized by Microsoft, but using it on iOS wouldn't feel the same.
From a developer’s perspective
What about other browsers? Are they not optimized to work properly on certain Operating Systems? I do see the difference when using a handheld device. But, when it comes to desktop. I see that browsers are working well irrespective of their optimization.. That's only my experience with them so far.

I agree with you, and the snooping around with all the spyware of Microsoft (Edge included) is now something everyone is happy with. If it comes to that I can't say I miss my computers.
Edge is the best for Windows because Microsoft created both the browser and the operating system, so they know how to optimize it perfectly. The same goes for Safari on iPhones, since Apple makes both iOS and Safari, they ensure it runs the best. Each company designs its browser to work smoothly with its own system, making it the fastest and most efficient choice.
Why not more people use Edge? For example, because many are phone users or have ancient computers? Does that make sense?
I just asked my son and he says he removed Edge because Windows 10 has enough spyware.
Same for the eldest. It's Firefox, which doesn't want all the trash on the computer and also doesn't use a phone for online banking and so on. Its mainly used to receive phone calls in case of need or to text.
So you don't use chrome because? You did develop your extension for Chrome users. If don't believe you will find the most modern computers among the average Steemians.
BTW I started this question because of your extension. A great evening and fun with the Techclub.
Edge used to be annoying and not well-developed, while Chrome was a revolutionary browser. However, now there are many good browsers, and Microsoft has completely changed Edge into something much better. I really enjoy using Edge at first, it may seem unfamiliar, but over time, it becomes enjoyable. Plus, all Chrome extensions work on Edge because they share the same core (engine).
I never used any of these browsers. . I in e proces chrome comes with pictures and news (?) but these browsers are way harder to load with a slow internet connection and I don't like all those pictures and distraction if I want to search for something nor wait til it loads.
Most people will simply use what is installed no matter if it's great or annoying and the "magic" (reading their data/tracing them) is even more fasciating. Why cares about the truth or brain rot.
♥️🍀
Edge comes with a certain window version or is there a recent update?
