Weekly Reflections #30: What makes a place feel like Home?

Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "What makes a place feel like Home?" as part of my participation in this 👉contest organized by @damithudaya

By definition, we believe that home is a place where a person or family lives and feels a sense of belonging. A place can't be called home to me when there is no togetherness, unity, love and sense of belonging in the place.

What makes a place feel like home is when there is togetherness, unity, love, and a sense of belonging in the place. There are some homes where these things are lacking which if you have ever been in such type of place you will never be comfortable in the place. A place where there is no love sense of belonging and so on cannot make someone feel at home.

While growing up with my parents I felt at home because I was given all the love that I needed in life. I always believed my parent's place was a place of emotional comfort for me, than the place I am today. For me, any place where I can find love, happiness, peace of mind, have a sense of belonging is a home to me. Just like my parent's place where I do find shelter, happiness, a sense of belonging, and several things that make me feel comfortable staying in the place.

Whenever I am at home, I feel very comfortable and interested in the people in the place. Going out with my loved ones, taking photos, and doing a lot of things that please my heart.

A place where we do not have a soft land, nor have to be perfect can feel like home. Any place that evokes a sigh of relief as we walk in and is welcome with open arms when we walk in can feel like home. Just like in my parent's house where my loved ones usually welcomed me with open arms whenever I arrived home.

Any good place that we want to be can be like a home. A place where we can sit with our memories, a place where memories are made, a place where our hearts lead us to is home.

There are a lot of things that make a place feel like home, and I can further say that, what makes a place feel like home, is when we find comfort, whenever we are feeling down. A home holds several memories, good and bad memories, which play an important role in reminding us of our bad and good days.
