🟩What's the name of your cherished family Recipe, and who invented it?

Halwa is a very popular and one of the most popular items among the sweet national dishes of our Bangladesh. Today I am going to share my family's traditional recipe for chickpea halwa. The chickpeas Halwa recipe is usually made during Eid and weddings in our country and is made in the morning at hotels to eat with flour bread. It is as delicious as it is nutritious. When we were children, we used to watch during Eid; my mother would make chickpeas Halwa on special days. And when I made it in today's contest, those wonderful memories of my childhood came back, and I remembered a lot about cooking chickpeas Halwa on my mother's special day as a child.

🟩How do you prepare it, and what are the possible health benefits of the recipe?

Halwa made from chickpeas is not only tasty; it is also healthy and has many nutritional benefits for our body. Chickpeas are naturally high in protein, which helps in building muscles and gives strength to the body. Chickpeas contain a lot of fibre, which helps in digestion and keeps the stomach full for a long time, thus helping in weight control. Chickpeas are very beneficial for our hearts. Healthy fats and antioxidants help reduce the risk of heart disease. And it is very helpful in controlling blood sugar levels for diabetic patients. This healthy and nutritious chickpea halwa is not only delicious and tasty for you and your family, but it is also very beneficial for the body.

First, I bought 250 grams of chickpeas from the store, washed them well, and soaked them in clean water for about 8 hours. The next day, I made a paste of these chickpeas by hand with the help of a stone. If you want, you can use a grinder machine. Once the paste was made, I put them in a pot.

Then I took a cup of sugar and some cashew nuts in a pot and pure cow ghee from our Bangladeshi company and packaged milk from a company and some plastic items to cook it. Then I put a pot on the stove, and after the pot got hot, I put two spoons of ghee in it and waited for it to get hot.

After adding ghee to the pot, after the ghee got hot, I put two cardamoms in it and then I stirred the previously pasted chickpeas in the pot. After cooking the ghee and cardamom and the pasted chickpeas together for a while, it became a little reddish. Then I stirred it with the milk from the packet; you can see that it has become a little white in colour here.

After combining all the mixtures, I cooked it for a while, and then you can see that my chickpea halwa has become thick, the water has dried up, and my halwa is ready. Then I put some amount of ghee in a bowl using a plastic brush. Then I put the halwa in there from the hot bowl.

Then at the very end, in the final step, I put some amount of cashew nuts on the chickpea halwa to decorate and serve the halwa beautifully. Then it is ready to eat, and I took another small bowl to serve, took some amount of halwa, and put three big cashew nuts in it. Then, according to the community guidelines, I gave my username and the name of my community along with the recipe I made.
