Dear Dairy,

Yesterday was one of its kind, and heartwarming! Together with the A Child a Million Smile Charity team we embarked on a charity mission to Green Pears School, and it was simply amazing! I can't help but smile uncontrollably as I recount the wonderful moments we shared there.

As usual, I woke up early to get my lovely kids ready for school; I made their lunch first before I prepared Delicious plantain and egg sauce for breakfast. My hubby got them ready and dropped them at school, while I showered and got ready for the charity events.

We arrived at the school around 11 AM, and we were filled with excitement and purpose. The kids were expecting us because I could see that in their eyes as we got out of our car. It was clear that their proprietor informed them of our visit and they were pretty excited! A few teachers and students greeted us warmly, making us feel welcome.

It was their break time, therefore all the primary pupils were lined up, eagerly waiting to receive their share of noodles. But then we took some fun photographs with them capturing the excitement of the moment. Oh, I could see their little adorable faces lighting up with joy as we began to share the noodles with them; it was two packets for each child. Their shout-out of thank you was music to me, my goodness their reactions were just priceless! Yes, their smiles were indescribable!!

They were jubilating as they ran back to their classes holding their noodle packs. I was glad to see how joyful they were! Isn't it obvious that noodles are one of the kids' favorites? So they were a moment of joy and connection. Hahaha😂

Well the proprietor later stepped forward to express his gratitude for this simple act of kindness, which makes us feel that our effort is even more worthwhile! We couldn't resist joining some playful kids in dancing before we bid farewell. What can I even say than it felt incredible to bring happiness into these young ones' lives through simple gifts.

On my way back, I stopped at a mall to pick up cartoon character costumes for my kids, as the next day would be their character day at school. Though I didn't find the costumes, I went for polo 👕 with cartoon drawings; I bought the ones with Spidey, Mickey Mouse, and Bluey.

They were so happy to see their dresses when I picked them up after school! We showered immediately after we reached home because the weather was hot. Then we enjoyed delicious fried rice and fish for dinner. It was a busy evening but satisfying; I helped my kids with their homework and then found a little time to finish one engagement writing I had been working on.

Sitting back to reflect on the day, I can only say that truly “there's more joy in giving than there's in receiving.” Thanks to Worldsmile in collaboration with the Steemkids Parents community for making this project possible. Also thank you Steemit team, the project leader Ngoenyi and each crew member who played a vital role in making the visit a success.

This was it! Thanks all, by God's willing & grace I can't wait for the next one! Until next time. Bye!!

Thank you @shiftitamanna!

Kids love it when you dash them things. I’m sure its not like the noodles was very expensive but they loved the fact that they were given something and I’m sure it meant a lot to them
That’s good of you sis. Welldone!

Thank you for the compliment, Sis. You're right; kids love gifts. Not only them, but even adults appreciate receiving gifts. For me, a gift doesn't need to be expensive to be appreciated; it simply shows that the giver cares about me.
