My STEEM Goal for 2025

Last night was very hectic, I mean I don't know where people get the money to buy all those fireworks. It was five am and they were still at it. Perhaps it was just the joy of having gotten through a leap year. Well it is 2025 now and it is time for the yearly goal setting. I particularly don't like to do this, the only goal I do set is how much Steem I expect to have staked by year's end. I will probably stake less this year, taking into account the fact that this year has one day less, just 365.

Last year I actually reached my original goal and surpassed it, after having gone through several periods of seriously doubting I would make, and resetting my goals to lower numbers. Of course, the Steem I do have staked is a small amount so my goals are not big. I mean right now I have close to 1,300 staked Steem, not much, but it has cost me blood, sweat and tears. Ok, that is a lie, but it has not been easy getting this amount of Steem, as it is all organic, made only by votes received from my writing and curation rewards, I have never bought Steem to power up.

Now this year I have to set what I think is a reasonable amount of Steem I will be able to stake, of course I could just go with saying this year I want to get to Dolphin level, 5,000 Steem and that is my goal. But any way I look at it, I know this is a fantasy, there is no way I can get there. The only feasible way would be if I come into enough money that spending one grand or more on buying Steem would be possible. This is not going to happen.

So what is a serious goal that I can set? It has to be a difficult number that makes me work hard to reach, but not so big that I can't possibly make it. Now, the only way I get any big payouts on Steemit is if one of the @steemcurator or a booming vote comes my way. For some reason I have never been able to get a good vote from a whale or even an orca. Probably my writing is not good enough, this does not phase me, as i know my limits.

So taking this into account I will be kind of optimistic, I will go for a 2,500 staked Steem goal by year's end. This is almost double what I now have, But it is doable. Thing is I do have to write a lot and constantly be posting, and I actually am a big procrastinator. but I will do my best. Anyway goals are really just made to put you in a certain mood, like in this case the mood to reach a certain amount of Steem, and there is no real obligation to meet the goal, just the self made deal to get it done.
