Steem Promo through Charity, A Future of Free Healthcare and a Betterlife for Ghana - Africa
Today i read in the news about the governor of Bank of Ghana putting measures in place to introduce Ghana's first digital currency that would be called the E-cedi, reading it make me excited and proud of the direction with which some visionary individuals within the bureaucratic system are moving the country. This gives a lot of room for a future of blockchain growth within the country and an even brighter for steemit in Ghana and steemians in Ghana to promote the blockchain.
Since my time here on the blockchain one of the things i have been noted for is my promotion of free ocular healthcare using steem as my only source of funding. This i do with my friends and for the past 3 years i have seen so many people benefit from this act of crowdfunding which was initially started and support by @fundition and even up to this day continue to support numerous people from deprived community and towns.
I am envisioning a future of steem healthcare, i am envisioning a future where people will have their medical bills catered for with steem, a future where lives would not be lost unnecessarily due to the fact that one can't afford surgical procedures or medications that would otherwise save their lives.
According to World Health Organization Refractive errors is a recognized leading cause of blindness in the world now especially in developing countries and this is mainly as a result of inability of people to afford simple eye glasses which shouldn't cause more than 120 steem at the current price of steem, in my country at most for extreme cases 200 steem should be enough to make one see and yet still many are walking around with severe visual impairment.
In one of my recent free eye screening expeditions i met a farmer in a rural area who couldn't afford to part away with 500 cedis for cataract surgery an equivalence of almost 200 steem at current steem price as at the time of writing this article and because of which he has lost almost all vision with him been able to perceive only light now and this really saddened me, i only wish i had met him earlier perhaps he would have his sight today.
When i read about @the-gorilla raising funds to support the medical bills of @steemitcebu i was so excited and fill with joy because i saw that truly that future is coming for the blockchain and many lives are going to be touched and impacted in wonderful ways. Lives are going to be saved through this blockchain, vision will be saved and many people will be taken off the streets through the blockchain.
And so even as we continue to promote steem and do our very possible best to bring investors and the likes for the growth of our community, i urge each and everyone one of us to every now and then consider someone else above our own needs, support that one person you know who really needs help with some steem, bring them to the platform and teach them how to fish and fend for themselves.
Support these kind of charitable acts of kindness and love and i know soon and very soon, in the very near future, wonderful projects will grow from this platform and the love that the world will feel at large will be so great that no other option would be available except for world leaders to embrace blockchain, steemit and cryptocurrency. One step at a time, poco a poco we will surely get there. But until then, let's promote steem through charity everyday, any day at anytime.
