CONTEST: POETRY DIARY GAME: BURNING THE DESIRE
Inside of you I felt a desire
One that increased the staleness of my attitude
I got addicted to your capacity thinking it was Restoration, redemption, something that liberates
You praised your ability to make me glow
I was indebted to your profound pride, silenced by your constant jibes
The danger, the anger, the pain I was never saved from
It's not how you increased the desire but how I tore myself apart to fit around you
The dejection, the rejection, all came from the figure always considered pure
You were the light
But it was my strength, I was the pedestal you stood on to shine
You were the fire but I ignited the flame
The pressure, the torture
All I endured to keep you bright
I lay my life but no one saw my pain
I was a symbol of shame no one mentioned my beauty or appreciated my strength
The sadness, the darkness, was easy to blame
But my labour was never appreciated
To the notice of @dorbatim. I wish this meet the requirements of this contest.
