Freedom of speech

the freedom of expression is rare these days. Life is good, close to perfect if you "danst naar de pijpen van wie regeert" (do as required and promote what is bad and doesn't feel right).

Gaming

and moreover addiction and scam is something the government warns us against, same for taking loans and being in debts.

We all know investing shouldn't be done if we bet with money we cannot miss and taking a loan is a big NO.

What can possibly wrong?

In "Monkey Business" (the comment contest) twice the topic gaming has been discussed. The comments made clear how gaming affects health and behaviour (no surprise, gambling is an addiction and the vulnerable are easy to manipulate and pushed into playing like with the Ponzi scheme).

@solperez wrote about her experience in the casino.

Since several years this place is not only for the rich. Everyone can play online, same for Lotto, Totto, Bingo, the postcode lottery, bank account lottery and many more. The difference with Steemit is?
It's hard to tell since no matter how you see it, it's not philanthropic but big business, a way to earn by the one/company who started it (same for governments. They warn with a big smile and gentle voice for the danger but at the same time they keep pushing and send everyone who doesn't play letters with a coin).

In a world where poverty increases due to inflation in every country it isn't hard to imagine what people will do for a reward (upvote - winning the jackpot).

Good content been downvoted!

What the average Steem Curator account is not allowed to do (downvoting) the big accounts can.

In the comment section of this post I see mainly 3 people comment and reply to another.
I also noticed that one person uses three accounts to downvote. I wonder why this is? Are posts in this community read? It would surprise me. Is there no easy way to explain the game? Is there something to hide?

Serious Doubts

I wonder if a person feeling insulted should use the community account to downvote good content, well written text.

Should "we" not wear different hats as

  • a Steemian/blogger,
  • Steem Curator,
  • Steem Rep,
  • moderator,
  • ADM,
  • Steem Witness/es
  • App developer and if we are
  • part of the Steemit Team?
I find this a lot functions in one person's hands if this person is not able to wear that different hat and take deciscions based on the quality of the content.

Or is the average too low diary the most safe to upvote and what Steemit should attract investors with?

Asking permission

Do we need permission to make a screenshot of Steemit if anyone is allowed to start a hardfork of this platform and copy all accounts + passwords?
How about 'steemexclusive', insight in this case?

It feels as if the drama about the loss of a decentralised platform as Justin Sun bought Steemit, is reality. Not because of Justin Sun but because of a few who can't explain a game, not willing to show transparancy.

I am not familiar with this game and I doubt real investors, serious investors, will be interested. There are two types of investors: short term and long term and the short term will for sure investigate before taking a risk.

I am more of a thinker so I prefer mind games without being rushed or something that relaxes and gives my mind a break.

These games are only interesting to people with the "addiction" gen. Others get easily bored as soon as they did not win or know how to play.

🍀♥️
