Did you ever play Cannon Fodder? I feel some Cannon Fodder potential here, with a 2025 interface. On Cannon Fodder, you can have grenades and rocket launchers which the right mouse button fires. If you don't know the game, give it a play - it plays well even though it's probably 40 years old and might give you some ideas.
