Introducing BlazeScanner (https://blazescanner.org/) : A Powerful Block Explorer for the STEEM Blockchain

in Steem Dev18 hours ago

We’re thrilled to unveil BlazeScannera high-performance block explorer built for the STEEM blockchain—crafted by our team in just two weeks while diving deep into STEEM’s architecture! This project marks our first leap into STEEM blockchain development, and we’re eager to share it with the community.

What is BlazeScanner?

BlazeScanner is a fast, intuitive blockchain explorer that delivers real-time insights into STEEM transactions, blocks, and operations. Designed for both developers and users, it features:

  • TypeScript-powered frontend for a seamless experience.
  • Custom Python API (backed by MongoDB) for lightning-fast queries.
  • Forked and enhanced from the official STEEMDB into BlazeDB.

Try it live: https://blazescanner.org/

Key Features

Sleek, Responsive UI – Navigate blocks, accounts, and transactions effortlessly.
High-Speed API – Optimized Python backend with MongoDB for efficiency.
Developer-Friendly Docs – Full OpenAPI specs for easy integration:
🔹 Interactive API Playground
🔹 ReDoc Documentation

Why It Matters

BlazeScanner isn’t just a tool—it’s a learning milestone and a community resource. Through this project, we’ve gained hands-on expertise in:

  • STEEM’s blockchain mechanics,
  • Large-scale data synchronization,
  • Building scalable APIs.

What’s Next?

We’re working to:
🔸 Open-source the entire stack (frontend + API).
🔸 Expand analytics & search capabilities.

We’d love your feedback! Test the live scanner or explore the API docs—let us know how we can improve.

Stay tuned for updates!

Very nice. I look forward to further contributions from you. I would be interested to know how you came up with the steem. Perhaps you've been active as a blogger here for a while?

I would like to have a look at the code of your version of steemdb. At the moment only the old code is in your github repo.
I have started to set up steemdb for my testnet to make it easier to monitor the transactions. If your version works better, I would like to use it.

Hey, thanks for stopping by!

I’ll be uploading it to GitHub soon. I just need to clean up some old git stashes first.

Also, I’m waiting for the full blockchain sync to finish so more APIs can be properly tested. If everything goes smoothly, it should be fully synced by next week.

I’ll keep you posted!

I explore it and looking elegant and informative, I can say that design language of explorer is good there's more to add in it and I hope you already had planned for it.

One more thing it will be great if you can add SteemPro in it.

Are you belongs to HIVE ?

What does that mean ?

You migrated from Hive Blockchain ?

No, Just curious, what made you ask?
