We've reached Week 4 of the Steemit Learning Challenge, focusing on maintaining a healthy lifestyle because we love our bodies. This week, we've been assigned two exercises to complete, Plank Shoulder Tap and Burpee. After thoroughly reviewing the lesson post, I'm excited to submit my homework task below...

Plank Shoulder Tap

Shoulder Tap

The Plank Shoulder Tap exercise is a highly effective, full-body workout that engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously. As each part of the body plays a crucial role in executing this exercise, it's an excellent way to improve overall physical fitness. To perform the Plank Shoulder Tap exercise, I followed these simple steps:

  • I place my hands shoulder-width apart on the ground, with my arms straight and my hands directly under my shoulders. My feet were positioned hip-width apart, with my weight evenly distributed between my hands and feet.

  • I activate my core muscles by drawing my belly towards my spine. This will help maintain a stable position.

  • While maintaining the plank position, I lifted my right hand off the ground and tap my left shoulder. Then, quickly return my right hand to the starting position.

  • I repeated the step with my left hand, tapping my right shoulder. Then continue alternating shoulders for the given 30 repetitions before resting for 10 seconds.

Proper execution of the Plank Shoulder Tap exercise yields numerous benefits, including enhanced stability and endurance, strengthened gluteal muscles, and development of strong, defined abdominal muscles (abs), ultimately leading to a stronger, healthier body.

Burpee

Push-up

The Burpee exercise may appear straightforward, but it's surprisingly intense, incorporating a combination of jumping, squatting, and a push-up-like motion. To take it to the next level, I chose to add an actual push-up to my routine as an extra challenge, as permitted by the homework task for students who can endure the intensity. Here are the simple steps I followed to perform the Burpee exercise:

  • I stood with my feet shoulder-width apart, toes facing forward or slightly outward.

  • Keeping my back straight, I dropped down into a squat position, placing my hands on the ground in front of me.

  • From the squat position, I kicked my feet back into a plank position, while keeping my hands on the ground, and I added a push-up to my routine at this stage.

  • After completing the push-up, I quickly return my feet to the squat position.

  • From the squat position, I explosively jumped up into the air, landing softly on my feet.

The Burpee exercise is an exceptionally intense and physically demanding activity that requires a significant amount of endurance to complete, especially when incorporating additional challenges like push-ups. This comprehensive exercise engages our entire body, promoting overall fitness, strengthening our bones and muscles, and boosting our physical resilience.

I followed the instructions on the table below to complete my video demonstration.

Which of these programs is the most difficult for you and what exactly makes it difficult. How did you overcome the difficulty.

Personally, I found the Burpee exercise to be the most difficult compared to the Plank Shoulder Tap. The added complexity of incorporating push-ups into my routine made it particularly difficult. The combination of jumping, squatting, and landing, followed by performing push-ups before returning to the starting position, was no easy feat.

However, keeping in mind the numerous benefits of this exercise, I mustered the determination to push through. Reminding myself that I love my body and that "no pain means no gain" helped me overcome the difficulty. This mindset motivated me to persevere and complete the exercise, despite the challenges it presented.

What is your overall feelings at the end of these programs?

And accomplished

As I concluded this week's fitness challenge, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and joy. Despite the sweat dripping from my body, a testament to the intensity of the workout, I beamed with pride knowing I had pushed through to the end.

Given my ongoing recovery from health issues, I was pleasantly surprised by my ability to complete the challenge. This achievement boosted my confidence and left me feeling empowered, happy, and fulfilled. The sense of pride and satisfaction I felt was incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to continuing my fitness journey.

Dear Coaches @ngoenyi and @genomil, I'm excited to submit my homework task for this week's fitness challenge. I'm looking forward to your feedback and guidance. I'm already eager to join next week's challenge and continue pushing myself to new heights. Bye.
