SLC27-W1: The Beginning of Becoming a Youtuber by @S.Dev

in STEEM LENS21 hours ago (edited)

We all know that audiovisual content on various digital platforms is one of the most innovative ideas which provides opportunities to earn money and reach you to the millions of likeminded people. I have been doing it even if not for direct earning from my videos but indirectly. However, I am willing to become an influencer one day.

I understand the YouTube platform has a tremendous opportunity and since our friend @walictd has come up with this useful as well interesting competition I am willing to join this contest which enhances my interest in becoming a full time YouTuber.

I have been on different social medias for a very long time or I can say since their conception by Google which is one of the best ways of earning some extra money. Although I haven't earned any money from YouTube so far but there was a time I used to earn a lot of money from Google's AdSense account.

I mostly earn money indirectly from social media sites like X (Twitter) and YouTube by sharing my work therefore I use them as much as possible. My strategy is simple, I have various and multiple accounts that I use for assignment based so this YouTube Channel was created for my content promotion on certain websites including Steemit.

First of all, I was not so sure if I could take part in this contest since I already have YouTube Channel but when I read @walictd the Admin & Founder:

Hi friends, if you already have a YouTube channel, just share your experience of creating it, from naming your account to the present. Give the reasons behind the name of your account so that other friends can follow in your footsteps.

This encouraged me so I come to the process:

So my work is cut out:
Create a new YouTube channel ( I already have one) explaining the steps clearly. (Score: 3)
Add a simple profile photo
Add a Banner
Write a channel description of at least 50 words (explain what your channel is about).(Score: 1)
Upload a short introductory video

I decided to present my Channel with a couple of changes.

For instance

I signed into my Gmail account

For a change I edited my banner and profile to match with this contest requirement

*Profile

I edited it because I mostly prefer travel blogging even if I am working on contests so I share general videos too but my emphasis is on travel and I will keep it that way hence my banner is a picture I took in New Zealand a couple of years ago.

*I edited my Channel's name from S. Dev
*To S. Dev, Your travel partner

My channel description

Being a travel blogger I thought it could be the most appropriate one. However, since we can change them every fortnight, I can change it in case I feel the necessity.

I have been making videos for a long time and use certain apps to edit them so I am pretty confident that if I ever decide to make it my full time profession I can do it easily besides I have your lessons to learn a few more finer points in coming weeks.

I have worldwide audience in my mind so I plan to put my best foot forward so I could attract as many viewers as possible since the earning from YouTube depends on views and subscribers.

I think there is a feature which can translate the language of videos on auto in certain browsers so I will further work on that and see how it works meanwhile my primary language is English therefore if I ever make videos targeting other languages I will use subtitles.

Point one > Create a new YouTube channel (if you don't already have one), explaining the steps clearly

To create a YouTube channel, you will need to have a Google account, like Gmail, which is what I used in my own case. Since I already have a new Gmail account, I can sign in my YouTube channel:

*I have a YouTube channel so I will use that therefore I am signing in

Screenshot (3482).png

*I signed in using my Gmail address

*On the next page, I entered my Password and clicked on Next as seen in the screenshot image.

-After clicking on next, my YouTube channel is visible

*I click on 'continue' as

To finalise my channel, I click on the icon of my name at the top right-hand side before I then click on Create a Channel

*I already have profile photo

Screenshot (3473).png

S.Dev
*I had a name

*But in this case I changed my channel name

S. Dev, Your travel partner

*I can change/translate languages if required

As suggested I added a new banner with appropriate size.

Screenshot (3474).png

When I was doing all this I had to confirm my Australian number since my number was Indian so far

Finally I went to the YouTube Studio

Here I my channel description and tell you what is my channel about

I am a travel blogger who loves to visit places. I would share my travel blogs and travel experiences that inspire and uplift my viewers, providing valuable insights about different destinations and ways to stay positive.

Travel blogging allows for creative storytelling, beautiful photography, and genuine emotion. All my videos contain information that attracts and engages audiences to the world of amusement and happiness.

I love focusing on joy, which can help my viewers and readers see the world’s beauty even in simple moments, and blending these two allows stories to be not just about the reality but also educative.

A short introductory video

Of late I have been working on Steem-Atlas, making my audience aware of various interesting places. I also take part in contests on various websites including Steemit.

Best of luck!

And you have got a new subscriber! 😉

Thanks but I use it just for Steemit. My Primary channel is different and has only personal videos. I have no intention to make it a source of income. Thanks a lot for subscribing though.

Hi Dev. All the best for you in your new projects. Good idea for a traveller.

Thanks buddy, I have a plan for extensive traveling in coming months starting late November but there is no plan of making YouTube videos. I have to complete my travel book. Thank you so much.
