LO MEIN : The way I like it ๐๐๐
There's no doubt about that...
Chinese noodle is one of the best food ever, loved in each corner of the planet. You have hundreds of ways preparing them...
When you travel in different countries, you will find reinterpretation of Chinese noodles, each place has its charm!
Today I have the pleasure sharing my way of preparing LO MEIN here in Mauritius.
Enjoy it!
I will do it steps by steps with photo collage so that it is clearer for those who wish to do it at home!
Gather the below ingredients and proceed as below:
Diced chicken breast / Carrots / Onions / Garlic paste / Soy sauce / Oyster sauce / Pepper.
Season the chicken with soy sauce, pepper and garlic paste. Heat your pan and start to cook it!
Then add the carrots and onions. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add the oyster sauce and little more soya. Let cook till the sauce starts boiling.
This is how the chicken must look like. Keep aside!
Tomato salad!
I love topping my noodles with some fresh tomato salad.
Very easy to make. You simply need tomatoes, onions and fresh coriander.
Cut in brunoise and season with salt and olive oil. If you like spicy, you can add some chopped green chili in.
One of the most important items in our boiled noodles is the broth...
Prepare it with chicken stock and all vegetables cuts that was leftover in the preparations. Season with salt and msg if you want. Let it boil!
Fry the eggs as per your taste.
Portion the fresh noodles each in a bowl.
Here's all the different preparations. I also cut some chives finely which will be served as topping.
Time to boil the noodles, top it up and enjoy!
I made each bowl differently based on each one taste!
And here's my darling, Rheem, who always accompany me in the kitchen when I am cooking!
