Mountain Lion or Puma

Puma tiger is also called Mountain Lion. Mostly they live in the mountain areas of North and South America. They are put into small to medium cats family and are closely related to cats than tigers. First time I saw puma in Ayub National Park, Rawalpindi. They were agile and were running in the cage and also climbing up and down on trees.

I also saw some Puma cubs in Bahria Evclave Zoo, Islamabad. They were very active and were playing with each other. It was a pleasant experience to watch these Puma cubs. They were adorable and many people specially came to see them.

Puma is very rare. Only some Zoo have puma in a cage. They need some good extra care and also need some climate control. These animals need special health care so the Zoo who keeps them also hires a Vet doctor on board.
