Versos Cítricos

De lejano origen asiático
es tu árbol genealógico,
Azahar, es el nombre de tu flor
que a todos embriaga por su olor...

Naranja, naranjita
dulce fruto de dioses,
de pulpa sabrosa y bendita
dale al virus mis adioses...

Tus aromáticos y esenciales aceites
la piel del hombre enriqueces,
por tus vitaminas trasmites
salud y a todos nos fortaleces...

En infusiones o en jugo
tu sabor es muy exquisito,
pero tu cáscara es el verdugo
que aleja al molesto mosquito...

Citrus Verses

Of distant Asian origin
is your family tree,
Orange blossom, that's the name of your flower
that everyone is intoxicated by its smell...

Orange, little orange
sweet fruit of the gods,
of tasty and blessed pulp
give the virus my good-byes...

Your aromatic and essential oils
the skin of man you enrich,
for your vitamins transplants
health and you strengthen us all...

In infusions or in juice
your taste is very exquisite,
but your shell is the executioner
that keeps the annoying mosquito away...
