Steem4nigeria Accelerator contest week 74: developing a good sense of humor

Greetings to amazing members of this community it is my pleasure to welcome you all to my blog once again and my pleasure to participate in this contest. A good sense of humor is a very vital thing that can bring people together relief stress and even improve our overall well-being. Before I proceed I would love to invite @iddy, @entity01 and @fortwis09 to join in this contest.

IN YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, WHAT IS A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR?

A good sense of humor in my own understanding is the ability to find amusement in situations that surrounds us. It comprise being playful and jovial without being hurtful.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU THINK WE CAN EXERCISE HUMOR TO PEOPLE AROUND US?

There are so many ways we can exercise humor to people and it will bring joy to people without being biased and hurtful. We can exercise humor by creating funny content such as memes, comic, and videos. We can as well share humorous stories about our own mistakes in the past or even present, making humorous observations in unexpected places or situations too, and finally sharing lighthearted stories that create humor in our conversation.

HAVE YOU PRACTICED THIS EXERCISE BEFORE? TELL US WHERE AND WHEN.

I can recall when I was in hostel,we were having a very serious conversation pertaining our examination I think if I can remember vividly it was on a Sunday before our first paper on Monday. I was speaking to my colleagues with all manner of seriousness for about 25 minutes or so and at the end I said I don't really have much to say,my classmates were all laughing telling me I will be a typical African father because why on earth will you talk for about 25 minutes and you are saying you don't really have much to say 😅😅 I was even laughing with them. It is common in our African society that parents do make such statements after hours of advising their children. And there I was saying it as well after good 25 minutes. Well I don't really have much to say 🤣🤣

ARE THERE BENEFITS OF HAVING A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR? CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT IT?

There are so many benefits of having a good sense of humor it helps reduce stress and anxiety thereby helping a person get relief from tension. It helps improve a healthy relationship with people, like I always say don't be too serious in life at least in a while engage in lighthearted conversations, as they say all work and no play makes jack a dull boy. It helps reduce blood pressure, improve immune system and reduce pain. Humor as well can help stimulate and enhance creative thinking and problem solving skills.
