Hi friends, welcome back to this space, we are glad to bring to you this week's accelerated contest. We have a very interesting topic to consider, am sure you are already in love this topic because we can all relate with it.

Almost everyone here, if not all believes some sort of lies while growing only to discover later in life that all they have believed were fallacies. The reason why some of us believed these things was because we were told by people we respect so much i.e Parent, uncles, aunties, teachers etc and we could not but believe what they told us.

Some others believed some of these things because culture/society taught these things but to our utmost surprise, we got to find out later in life that these things were all lies. In this contest we want you to tell us those lies you believed while growing but later found out they were not true.

Interestingly some of these so called lies were presented in form of taboos to instill fear into us and ultimately protect and keep us in checks.
