How does Steemit connect people from different places?

Steemit is an exception kind of social media and that is one reason it connects people from different places.

On steemit you are able to see the culture of other people, know about their weather, read news, lifestyle, and even know about their daily routines. All these activities are means by which steemit connects us to people.

For example I live in Nigeria precisely the western part but I have connected to many people from the east and southern part of Nigeria who I have not even met physically. Steemit gave me an opportunity to make new friends, socialize, comment and engage with different people.

I have also leant about other countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Venezuela, India, South Africa and many others. It's beautiful to know them all.

What makes you feel part of the Steemit community?

Oh yes I don't just feel I know that I am a part of steemit community. I post on steemit, I interact and read. Not just that I have been able to learn new things on steemit.

I have had experience working in communities as moderator and as admin and I felt acceptance and love from my team mates so this awareness alone shows me that I am a part of the steemit community.

I have also been chosen several times to work as a community curator. Isn't that amazing? This is another proof that I am a part of steemit community.

Why is supporting each other important on Steemit?

No person succeeds just on their own. This is why supporting each other on steemit is very important. Steemit is a community and in a community, supporting one another is inevitable.

When you support a user, we all become stronger at the long run. The user benefits and you too benefit. No loss at all. It's a win win.

Supporting each other also causes sustainability on the platform. Because our steempower grows bigger and we become happier.

When no one supports you, growth can not be experienced and frustration and discouragement is bond to happen. So don't think twice about supporting others!

How can we help new users feel welcome?

We can help new users feel welcomed by helping them answer their questions of curiosity. We can correct and guide them in love.

We can invite them to participate in contest, and show them new communities to post. We can also reach out to them asking them to join other groups outside steemit like our telegram groups and discord or Whatsapp.
