**Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 76: Advice to my younger self

in Steem4Nigeriayesterday
Hello everyone, good morning to you all and welcome back to my blog. If we could turn back the hands of time, we would have corrected lots of errors we made when we were much but since we can't do that, all we can do is leave the past behind and focus on making the future better.

Have you taken some irrational decisions while you were much younger?

There is an adage that says when I was a child, I behaved like a Child. One of my greatest mistakes as a child was not speaking up when I was being bullied. When I was little, about 7 years of age I was constantly bullied by a boy in my class. This boy made going to School a terrifying nightmare for me. This guy in question was the class dullard and has repeated the class for about 2 times and we met in that class. He was bigger than most of us in Class. This boy instilled fear into me, he told me that he was going to beat up my older siblings and parents if I ever report him to them and I believed his foolishly. Many mornings while preparing for School, I always cry and sometimes I tell my Parents that I was sick so that they would allow me to stay at home. I endured this bullying until one of my Classmate constantly bullied by the same boy reported to her Parents and they came to my School to report the case and the boy was put in place. That was how I escaped.

Do you think you're now wiser and better than you used to be?

Of course I'm wiser now. Mostimes, if I remember the event of the back I usually imagine how Stupid and foolish I was to believe that a mere 9 Years old boy could beat up my older Siblings and my Parents.

What advice would you give to your younger self or a younger generation who are already in that stage of life you were once in.

I would advise my Younger self to always speak up whenever you're being bullied or oppressed, I would also advise my Younger self to be bold and Confident. I would advise the younger generation never to be timid, if someone attacks you, fight back. I would also advise the bullies to repent, you won't gain anything from causing pain to your fellow mate.

Thanks for reading my post, I invite @wuddi, @aspiya and @dhira to participate in this contest.

Feel so emotional about your experience right now. Hmmmmm. It's actually not a good experience to be bullied and as you've ended, I wish they could change for the better.
