The Lie that Saved Me
Hello friends how are you doing today and welcome to my blog, here in my entry I will be sharing with you all base on the contest organize by @bossj23 "The Lie that Saved Me"
Right from birth our parents have been preaching to us about the consequences of telling a lie, that it is a sin against the doctrine of Christianity but the question still remains, is there a good lie? And is there a bad one? I thought biblically all sins are the same!!
Have you ever been caught telling a lie? If yes, can you recall some of those lies and how it affected you positively or negatively? |
---|
Yes, I have been caught telling lies most of the time, and sometimes I haven't been caught, but that doesn't mean I'm good at it. One of my biggest lies was back in college, in the examination hall. You know, some exams are extremely hard; the lecturer wants them to be hard so that he or she can sort students.
Well, in the exam hall, I cheated. Then, the supervisor suspected something and came to collect my script. I, on the other hand, had gotten rid of the microchip, so I told the man that I hadn't done anything and even swore.
Well, I knew I was lying, but if I hadn't lied, he would have taken my exam script away, making me probably fail the exam, which, of course, I didn't.
Does it pay to lie? Are deceitful jokes considered as lies? |
---|
Trust me it doesn't pay to lie at all because when they people around you discovers that you are fun of lying to them they will probably stop trusting you and basically avoid you in anything.
Just like the name implies "Joke", but please a deceitful joke is always fun while it lasted but trust me we should have limit while practicing or expressing it to the people around us.
Tell us your experience — The Lie that Saved you |

Like I mentioned earlier, one of my biggest lies got me out of trouble in the examination hall. The supervisor saved me and my script from being taken away, thus preventing me from failing the exam.
Also, another lie saved me when I was working in a betting shop. Most of my customers were tough guys, and they often played games and refused to pay. Some would even try to beat me up if I asked for money.
One day, one of these tough guys played a game and won a 100,000 naira jackpot. He didn't know about it, but I did, so I covered it up and claimed the money. This is one of my biggest lies ever.
It helped me recover from the losses they had caused in the shop and boosted my savings, which I am now using for my schooling.
A woman told a customer that the price of a product is worth 100 steems whereas the price of that product is 80 steems, is she lying or doing business? |
---|
Now there's what we call "rhetoric" which has to do with the process of persuading someone vocally, so at this point the woman isn't a liar rather that is a business strategy that she's using in other to see gain in her business.
She isn't a public servant or her business isn't some public cooperation set up by government to serve the public, rather every business aims at making profit so as long as you do not do anything illegal how you manage to see your profit isn't no body's business so the woman isn't a liar at all

Much appreciated
Asi es mi querido amigo las mentiras en general impactan de manera negativa, mentir durante su examen lo salvo de reprobar, aunque no fuera justo, bromear con amigos no esta mal, pero incluso a veces debemos ser honestos.
Thanks I really appreciate it
