Our neighborhood is good to keep a close watch at and be conscious of the happenings and be aware of safety consciousness to everyone.

There is this road, AKADEP road that I ply everyday to work not minding how dirty the road is. I almost fell into a pit in the middle of the road, as deep as a well but for a good friend I worked with. Ah I held my breath, I was scared to death by the time I stretch my neck to view inside. It was so deep an terrifying. The road is off Clement Isong Ring Road and also off Dakada Secretariat road. If you live in that neighborhood be watchful and careful so that you do not become a victim.

The people leaving in that neighborhood were careless about such a deep pit that could have caused a trap to any innocent being walking through that road. There was no sign to indicate danger. Everyone is careless about it and guess who will fall into such a pit? It can be one of their relatives. God forbid. The pit is so deep that I cannot see it end.

The following day I reported that incident to our school security who gathered the broken blocks from the school compound to position them around the mouth of the pit to indicate danger for other people to see and know that there is danger ahead of them.

That is how every citizen is supposed to behave. They are supposed to be their brothers keeper. But the people living in this community where the pit is has become less concerned not knowing that one of their family members can become a victim falling into that trap.

Thanks to my security and compound master who had shown such a good gesture and being patriotic citizen.

I invite my friends @ogechukwu-martha, @bela90 and @eveetim to share their own news.
